Floyd is more skilled than Trout. Floyd is the most skilled fighter of the generation.

Pacquaio is the best, but Floyd is the most skilled, not that it's relevant, I just thought I would throw that out there.

Anyway, this fight was a case of a good big man beating a good small man.

Floyd and Cotto were approximately the same size, and while it does appear that age has caught up to Floyd to a certain extent, Floyd still beat Cotto clearly and convincingly.

 

Stop with angulo sick excuses. Cintron outbox Angulo and angulo was stunned by cintron shots. Cintron isnt really a jr middleweight anyway. Yeah angulo is bigger and stronger then cotto but angulo is way way slower flat foot and doesnt move his head. Right now cotto chin is better then angulo thanks to kirkland ruined angulo's chin. Trout would easily beat Angulo. The only thing angulo has a chance is pop but thats it.

 

Did u watch kirkland vs angulo? Kirkland ruined Angulo. It was like watching trinidad ruined vargas chin. Right now cotto's chin is better. I would bet if trout land a sneaker hooks or uppercuts, angulo will go down and might stay down. Angulo is too slow.

 

I'd say more convincingly, but let's not exaggerate.

He isn't really committed to the body, really only time I saw that was in the Kermit fight, outside that he is purely a in and out fighter, looking to showshine and land a big left upstairs.

Sergio's aim is to get inside, the problem he faces with Trout is that he won't let him get inside without takening lots of punishment. We saw in Macklin and Barker that he simply can not handle a decent jab. The other problem is that Trout is also a lefty, that is gonna neutralize the traditional effectiveness he enjoys with that shot. We saw how Trout took out the left from Cotto, he would do the same and easier to Sergio because he simply isn't as skilled as Cotto.

Sergio doesn't have faster feet, he has terrible footwork as well, is quick of feet with the 160 pldders he fights, but he would be outquicked against Trout, and his power footwork would be exploited.

As for Angulo, again we saw that he can not handle boxers, he is too slow of hand and feet. He also has poor footwork as well. He would be following Trout around the ring all night and eating lefts and right hooks like Cotto, when he got inside he would also be tied up and smootered and completely neutralized.

I haven't been high on Angulo as an elite since the Cintron situation. After the Kirkland demolition I'm certain he will never reach that elite level of 154 that Trout is at.

 

about even but the difference is that cotto def looked much better and dangerous against floyd

I think Trout did a better job but more of because of the size / weight factor.

The fights weren't that different, except that Floyd has this certain aura, and to see someone hurt him and bully him in 2012 was sort of shocking.

you remember that body punch by trout?.. if the ref didn't step in, cotto would of been out.

 

Trout has a 15cm longer arm reach aswell as being the natural lmw. Cotto should step down a weight a dominate that division for the few fights he has left in him. Personally i like to see him fight once more because i believe he aint got the magic anymore!
