    Impressive performance by Trout.

Not sure why every fighter or topic has to bring back in either May or Pac.

    But on topic, I scored Trout-Cotto 8-4 and May-Cotto 9-3 (10-2 live).

Trout-Canelo next please, (maybe a few more fights), then Trout will easily be able to handle an eventual move to 160.

Anyway, I scored both fights 8-4, and I'd say it kinda' goes like this...

    Mayweather

When Trout said he wanted to do certain things that Mayweather didn't, the first thing that came to my mind was controlling the center. He circled out and avoided being cornered for most of the fight, and when he was, either clinched to restart or escaped. Without that control of space, it was much harder for Cotto to get his offense going.

Of course you can make this statement, after Cotto coming off a loss already. Who on this board can say Cotto was firing on all 8 cylinders after losing for the third time?

mentally I did not see the same Cotto, hell I have not seen that cotto in over 3 years.

Mayweather was a smaller fighter, which allowed Cotto to pressure and bully him in some places. Cotto couldn't do that with a larger Trout. He couldn't get his positioning as effectively either, possibly because Trout was a southpaw and he knew how to get his way out of there when Cotto tried to close into the pocket.

    It's apples to oranges.
