In your humble opinion, who is currently the best southpaw at 154 lbs?

    Poll above.

    1) Lara
    2) Trout
    3) Andrade
    4) Kirkland

If you could extract Kirkland's head from his ass he could swap places with Andrade, but no higher.

Not much space between Lara and Trout, but plenty between them and Mandingo & Boo Boo.

I'm with IB, But I regard Trout a bit higher than Lara...
(Might switch 1 & 2, but overall agree)

154 is a division where it is going to be hard to look good in, good luck Canelo

Lara is TINY and as overrated as they come...he was lucky to get by what was left of Angulo's slow-motion as.s....

Watch what Trout does to that lil bi.tch:deal

Trout is taller and thicker. Lara is smarter and slicker.

While he underperformed a bit in a few of his biggest stage opportunities (Martirosyan, Angulo, Molina) you can't deny his skills. In his greatest test by far he passed with flying colors. He soundly defeated PTP Williams, screw what the cards say.

I don't think Austin would've done the same, although he did prove himself world class with the breakout Cotto performance.

A motivated Kirkland beats em all, he's back with Anne Wolf now so we'll see how he looks in his next fight. They won't all fight each other though TR/GBP cold war, but I can see Kirkland fighting Andrade.

Actually, it's funny, but I think while Lara beats Trout h2h and is more skilled and could beat a greater quantity of junior middle contenders and beat their common ones more convincingly ...I think Kirkland would be schooled by Trout and yet be in with a real puncher's chance with Lara.

Once more, ABC logic has no place in this sport. :yep

A motivated Kirkland puts Andrade to sleep. A non-motivated Kirkland gets boringly pot-shotted or stopped (on accumulation) by Andrade.

Kirkland would more likely stop lil Lara than Andrade.

Soon as HBO threw Lara's name back out there I knew fools on this forum would blindly jock him.

I am not impressed by Lara's skills at all.

What was his greatest test by far??

Please don't say it was slow-motion pinata and Kirkland victim Angulo.
