Don't know if it can be but I'd like them to try at least. he's better than anyone else they have at the moment.

He does have the style to make pretty every boxer look bad I agree and that is a factor in GGG not really feeling Lara because even if he wins he won't look good doing it and it would hurt his hype train.

Lara is a safety first type. They're so determined not to let the opponent get in an offensive mode that they're own offense doesn't matter to them.
Its how it went down in the Canelo fight and its likely to happen vs GGG.

Afterward GGG will have to explain why he had an off night, when in fact he didn't, it was Lara being Lara.

Is Lara now fighting at MW?

If so, shouldn't he have to earn a fight for a title at MW?

I'd like to see Lara-Lemieux, that's a more veenly matched fight imo. With the obvious edge going to DL.

ok divac....are you saying ggg is a cherrypicker?

cause according to his fans he has the tools to fight any style....is he afraid of looking human? I mean I know that's why he ducked ward....but it seems silly for that to be a reason to duck lara.....

    I agree.

He should contact Teddy Atlas and arrange to be in the ESPN Boxino tournament.
If he wins against Adams, he has definitely earned a shot at The Little g. :good

gggs craigslist ad should look something like

"please have the ability to make us look good...please don't have the ability to nullify our offense or avoid punches....also please don't make it hard for us to cut off the ring.....we are in the entertainment business and prefer guys who like to throw punches and take punches....andre ward please don't even bother contacting us...weve already shown u our lack of interest"

Lara would have a stronger argument if he had a MW belt...even a minor one. That aside, he'll need at least one decent win against a MW with a following(Lee, Lemieux, Geale, Quillen).

I've never been the least bit interested in Golovkin-Lara, and it's always baffled me that so many people are seemingly so big on the idea of that match-up happening.

Golovkin would destroy him, likely very early.

That said, given that Gennady seems to be lacking in viable options, a bout with Lara in April wouldn't be the worst thing (depending on what other target opponents are in the picture).

    Bingo!!!!!!

Since there are not any great fighters at 160 lbs, who besides Canelo could actually give GGG a tough fight at middleweight?

Golovkin fans simply dismiss Lara to state, "he'll destroy him!"
Well tell us what fighter Golovkin wouldn't destroy???????

At least with Lara, you have a fighter that is not going to be a sitting target.

Lara has faced a much greater competition level than Golovkin has. This is undeniable.
Lara dominated a prime Paul Williams and got robbed on the cards.
Knocked out a tough Angulo who at the time had only been stopped by James Kirkland in a WAR!

Beat Austin Trout much easier than Canelo did.

The only real loss on Lara's record it to Canelo and some would argue Lara deserved the decision.

Clearly Lara has faced tougher competition and yet to Golovkin fans, he's not good enough to step into a ring with Golovkin????:nut

    "He'll finish Lara in three!"
Well lets see it done then!!!

Problem I see here is Haymon doesn't like to do business with certain major boxing outlets.

Lara got on PPV and stunk it out. All he can ever hope for is fighting nobody's at 1pm on a saturday during some PBC undercard. Best case scenario is that Haymon can find NOBODY to fight jacobs so Lara gets the fight.....runs for 12 rounds and loses ANOTHER lopsided decision.

Lara **** away any chance at GGG with that disgusting Canelo performance. move this thread to mythical matchups.
