Trout is just chasing more money simple as that. Boxa probably offered 200k, Team Trout said ok in principle without signing, then came back week later asking 350k etc, so Boxa was peeved. Since then it would be going back and forth.

If anyone really thinks Mundine is dodging, or does not want the fight how wrong you are. Sure its a business, and losses dont go well. But Mundine is at a point where a loss in this fight is not the end. Its a risky weight drop, and he lost less than a year ago. In many ways Mundine has not much to lose but everything to gain.

The only reason Mundine is even a blip on any of the titleholder's horizons is because he can do good PVP dollars and therefore offer decent money.

Trout's camp know they have the cookie (the title) and are going to make sure they are adequately rewarded if they are to defend here, and good luck to them.

BOXA could have offered decent money any number of times in the past and bought out big names and/or titleholders but instead chose to fight relative nobodies like Pompey, Mayo, Francis, Crazy Kim, Falliga, Medley, Jerez, Waters, Wood twice, Toliver etc, etc, etc.

I totally disagree with you that Mundine has nothing to lose here. He has everything to lose. Where to if Trout embarrasses him?

    350k..?more like 500k...!
after tax and paying of his team trout wants 350k that means his asking for 500k...!id say this is a done deal and it will be announced either at the danny green/tarver weigh in or green/tarver fight night.

Mundine and Trout seem quite open to answering questions on their twitter pages from what I see.

It's refreshing that there is a new mode of communication where fighters can get more in touch with their fans without the intermediary of the media.

An announcement on the day of the Green-Tarver weight in or fight seems likely assuming the fight is going to happen.

Mundine said on Twitter that fight wont happen blaming Trout for not honouring verbal agreement. this fool will be the laughing stock of Australian boxing in the history books. his old man must be secretly ashamed.
