Trout is a class act. This fight was good for boxing and the best man won. That 118-109 was ****ing insane though.

I agree with trout could have easily said in a respectful way that he believes he won, but he didn't because he was missing shots left and right, getting hammered with bombs to the body and head, spaghetti legs in instances...

Canelo dictated the pace, when he wanted to fight, when he wanted to rest.. Trout was just playing catch up, but couldn't catch the slickness.

Trout knows Canelo was the better man.

Trout was really hurt more than once after and before the kd, he knows it and that´s why he can´t complain about the decision....if you´re unbiased and pay attention you can see it clearly but hey if you think his jabs were enough to make him win those rounds :conf....

:patsch I didnt see Trout Canelo as close I had it 116-111 the difference between this fight and the Rigo fight, is that the slickster in last nights fight didnt get dropped in fact he knocked down his opponent

Dont turn ******* on us Doc and post a gif of a knockdown as if thats the end all to the fight.

Canelo deserved the victory, but that fight was up for grabs or should have been going into the last couple of rounds.

How refreshing was it to hear Trout after the fight acknowledging Canelo ? It was a damn good fight, and thisclose. And you could have frogiven Trout if he came off with a little sour grapes, but he didn`t. ALL boxers can learn from this, win with dignity and you can lose with dignity. Trout WILL be better for this and he will come back better than before. He earned a lot of new fans by exhiting skills in the ring and class outside it. Who wouldn`t pay to see that again ???

Slipping and sliding and making Trout miss was ok, what I did'nt like about Canelo's performance was that he spent long stretches in rounds simply just with the mindset to be slippery and not get hit, but mounting zero offensively.

I'm not so impressed with fighters who zone in to just evade and offensively stall himself by not even looking for opportunities to counter attack.

Canelo by a razor margin did just enough to edge the fight, but no way were the official scores indicative of how the fight unfolded.

This is one of those fights where I really can't understand how anyone could think Trout won. I just think it was blatantly obvious who the better man was. The Showtime team were biased to Trout, I thought, so maybe that is the reason why so much of Trout's work has been exaggerated but I thought it was a clear Canelo win.

His defence was excellent and whilst he wasn't busy, he was very accurate. He's the better fighter of the two, without question.

I had Canelo winning by a point, so obviously he mounted enough offense to win him the fight on my card.
My point is that his offense was'nt consistent enough to set himself apart and pull away.

As I'm sitting watching trying to judge the fight, I ask myself who to give the round to when Canelo's lands 1 or 2 clean blows in the round, while Trout though not being very effective as Canelo is being slippery, does keep himself busy and lands alot of partial if not full connects.

By my standards of scoring, I usually score activity over non-activity.

I dont think Trout had a round in the fight to point to and say, "now he dominated that round. Clearly that was a Trout at his best"
Trout did'nt have those types of rounds, but he certainly had a handfull or rounds that I say went to him by default as Canelo offensively was'nt mounting anything.

I forget which round it was, but there was a round mid to late rounds where Canelo just stood there posing satisfied just to make Trout miss, but never entering his mind to take advantage of Trouts misses to counter them. Round for Trout! He at least had some partial connects in the round where Canelo had none.
