Hershman is a great signing.
Im looking forward to see HBO moving back towards being neutral rather than pro Heymon rubbish that is forced from time to time.

 

100%! Hershman has done wonders at Showtime on a fraction the budget of HBO! What they lack in big names they compensate for with creativity and very competetive match-ups! To think in the last decade they have given us the Vazquez v Marquez trilogy, Castillo v Corrales, the Corrales v Cassamayor trilogy, the Super Six, the bantamweight tournament etc! Not a bad legacy!

Showtime having a significantly smaller budget than HBO, yet always have produced alot more bang for their buck.
Hope Hershman can eliminate some of the stupid spending HBO do to Al Heymon fighters in particular.

 

One big advantage that he brings to hbo is that he knows the budget of showtime, so hbo wont have to outbid them by ridiculous amounts now.

For sure! I just hope that does not mean the kiss of death for Showtime! Competition is always a good thing, particularly in boxing where itis essential! Maybe you and I could job share the Showtime gig! We know our ****! We would make that job our *****!

 

Wouldnt that be a dream...i mean arguing with promoters & negotiating will be tough, but making some terrific fights would be a awesome result.:good

I agree tho competition is very important & hopefully Showtime will find a worthy replacement.

 

First things first, he needs to get past Alvarez. But this is great news if it comes off.
