This is the big difference.....full recognized world title....went, conquered and returned world champ....hurts doesn't it to be so attached to a bloke who has always been nearly good enough.

So.....back to the point is it any wonder that a hapless has been is nowhere to be seen on Trouts wish list? But chin up boys, he probably is on Cotto's, Mayweathers, Alvarezs, Martinezs...etc..etc..just ask him, unless they have agreed that they are ducking.

Boxon , ur comment "boxed domestically" bla bla bla, that could well be sylvester or karmazin by comparison, they where not better than echols (pretty sure neither was ever as high as top 5 ring rated)

Any way, sox makes some good points, and makes them well without being a twat, boxon, maybe take some of soxs medicine? ur point is pretty worthless when its clear just ignorant hate!

I didn't begin with the comparisons. I hate comparisons but I spell it out how it is. Echols was a **** opponent and it was a **** fight for a pretend title.

Check out the bloke in this picture and compare it to any one of The Pioneers pictures and see if you can tell the difference. It's glaringly obvious.

    :patsch Bull**** bull**** bull****.
Geale has not run away from anyone.

Mandy did run away from an IBO ordered rematch with Geale. Fact.
    Disprove it. :hi:

@Sox, only point ill make re geale running away, I wont say Soliman as that is not proven, though it is a little fishy how its gone down you must admit., However, it was open that he dogged martinez, His management came out and admitted it? Did you not see this? Basically admitted he would not win yet, and maybe in a year or 2

I'm not sure if I saw it or not.

Lets assume you're correct though..... So what?
You're comparing Mandy who has been dong it for many many years, and Geale who is really just starting in the big league.

If Geale played Mandys game year after year, he would lose me as a fan.

    Let's wait and see.

He actually was a good, highly ranked fighter before he got shot and suffered nerve damage. Mundine beat a shot fighter literally.

Echols had a history of substance abuse, and at the time he fought Mandy he was in a bad way with a bullet in him to boot, exactly the type of fight for Mundine and his crew,a washed up has been to further his already dogey and manipulated career end of story.!!!!

Two years after the Brewer win, he finally got his call: He was to fight Anthony Mundine for the vacant WBA Super Middleweight title in Mundine's native Australia.
While in the early stages of preparation for the title fight, Echols was attacked at a party in Davenport, Iowa. He was shot in the left arm, causing nerve damage and giving him the permanent souvenir of a bullet remnant lodged in his armpit. The injury would've been enough to get most fights cancelled or at least postponed, but Echols needed a pay day and was probably questioning when, if ever, he'd get another shot at a world title.
An essentially one-armed Echols would go on to lose a unanimous decision to Mundine and would be tossed back to the scrap heap of hopeful challengers and one-time contenders.
    :gunEchols :dead shot fighter :yep.

The Pioneer history re writing buffs don't want to know it......smoke and mirrors, The Pioneers whole career. Unfortunately when he career is reviewed by those who follow boxing it starts to unravel.

Pretty sad when the Mundine Disciples continually push the Echols win as one of his finest moments, that in itself shows how out of touch and delusional his very few brainwashed fans are when they try and pin some credibility on that fight,it was just another easy oppertunity for Mundine to put another notch on his belt, the amazing thing is a finished Echols went the distance,no doubt a young and fit Echols would have destroyed him.!!!!!
