Contender 4 Champion underrated by many just because he won the Contender is rated #9 in the world by the ring. Did any previous contendet champion, beside Bika who was world class fighter before, made top10 after he won the show ?

The CW ring rankings are kinda lame.

Troy Ross shouldnt really be in there.... id put guys like Rudolf Kraj and Firat Arslan over him too.

Yeah, that seems premature of Ring, to say the least. Just because he's "expected" to be a major force in the division, doesn't mean that he already is.

I am comfortable with him in there for the fact that he didnt just beat the contenders, he knocked the **** out of em!

I remember if you were a cruiserweight, good record and were on espn, and you win a fight it seemed like u automatically wre in the top 10.... Darnell Wilson, Matt Godfrey, BJ Flores, Johnathan Banks especially....

And when you look at whats been going on there.... Arslan being knocked out.... Banks being knocked out..... Flores not really being active..... Tokarev kinda went a-wol.. So I can agree with Troy being #9.... How Is Matt Godfrey there and Kraj is not~??

    Ross bumped off BJ Flores?

That's a bit of a joke. Flores is top 10 and Ross isn't, IMO.

But Troy has impressed me lately.

That's wat a year of inactivity will do.... followed by fighting a journeymen heavyweight in a comeback fight,,,

In the meantime, Troy stops 2 solid cruiserweights.... goes the distance and then scores another ko... All on live TV.... That's how that goes.....

    Exactly.

I dunno what your deal is with Flores, but its kinda lame. His claim to fame is a win over overrated Ding a Ling.

I rank the likes of Kraj, Arslan, even Enzo Mac and Herbie Hide over BJ.

They want to fast track Ross to Adamek, that's all. He already has some marketable hype and that will get you far in boxing, irrespective of what your actual CW credentials are.

Yes, I agree. Still though Flores has the edge in resume and in the ring skills. It's a good thing that he's finally back, by the looks of it.

Troy Ross is quite a good fighter, look forward to seeing how he fares after The Contender.
