Whatdya guys think? Troy's in shape based on what I've seen of his recent fights, but does he need a KO to win? Can he get a KO? What's Yoan's chin like?
Not great, and he has lulls and stamina issues. But he can be explosive. How's Ross' chin, looks good so far?
Depends on how much the inactivity has hurt Ross. Ross is no spring chicken...he's gotta be close to 40. Hernandez doesn't have a great chin, but Ross isn't a huge puncher either.
Hernandez doesnt have a great chin but he can effectivly use his size and have a more than decent power.
Decent chance, I think it goes to the scorecards and wouldn't be suprised at all to see an MD or SD either way.
ross's last two fights (against joureyman) went the distance, and he did't fight at all in 2011. it would be incredile if he managed to win.
Crazy how much perception of him has changed since he stormed through the Singaporean season of The Contender. At the time he was 33 and regarded as fairly powerful, a guy who'd been mismanaged but was ready to seize the reigns at cruiserweight. (remember at the time he was 21-1 with 15 knockouts) The world was his oyster. Now...three and a half years and five fights later, with only one title shot to show for it (and one with an extremely dissatisfying conclusion, that you'd think would have resulted in an immediate rematch) he's 37, rusty, hasn't knocked anyone out in years, and is most likely about to lose his 2nd IBF bid unless he can land something lucky against the constantly improving stud who's got the title now. Thanks, Tournament of Contenders. :!: Another career ruined. And now Sauerland has come along like the angel of death to pick at his bones by feeding him to one of their champs. :-(
He's a pretty damn good puncher--put Cunningham down with one shot. He's still in great shape as is evidenced from his most recent fights. I think he's a very live dog.
