Troy Ross, winning the fight against Cunningham was stopped in round 5 due to a very bad cut on his eye.

I had Ross winning the fight 40-35 at the time of stoppage, and truly, Ross looked like he was about to KO Cunningham.

    Round 1, Ross round clearly.
Round 2, very close round which could have went either way, Ill edge it to Ross.
    Round 3, Ross round clearly.
Round 4, Ross round at 10-8 due to KD.

Cunningham was getting schooled and was getting his ass beat.

Ross is very unfortunate to end the fight like this, he would have KO'd Cunningham and is unlucky to suffer this cut.

Cunningham was getting rocked and lucky to make it out of the fight like this.

Ross was ahead and looked to be about to KO Cunningham.

Rounds 3 and 4 were *unquestionably* Troy Ross rounds. Round 4, bcuz of knockdown (which by the way was a PERFECT left hand) is 10-8.

Round 3, Cunningham didnt really land anything. Ross landed quite a bit.

Those are 2 clear Ross rounds. There really isnt any other way to score them.

Rounds 1 and 2 were closer, but I thought Ross edged both especially round 1.

Cunningham looked like absolute garbage tonight. Getting outclassed by Ross he was.

If anyone didnt see the fight, i wouldnt take what this guy says too seriously, it was a close fight but one in which Cunningham controlled early by stalking behind his jab, Ross was slowly starting to make it interesting, and the fight showed both men are the buisness.... and id like to see a rematch soon, but it was in no way, shape, or form a one sided fight by EATHER fighter, imo.

I can see you giving one round to Cunningham.

Perhaps 2 at the absolute most.

But even at that, rounds 3 and 4 were utterly clear Ross rounds.

So, the most generous possible card you could have to Cunningham would be 38-37 Ross.

    And that is dick-riding Cunningham.

A realistic card is 39-36, or 40-35 Ross.

Its a shame too, because the fight was very interesting. I believe Ross would have stopped Cunningham if the fight conitnued a few more rounds, say around round 8 or 9.

Ross was noticeably faster and the harder hitter.

    The stoppage was an anti-climax

    Ya 4 Real

Cunningham was getting schooled and looked pretty bad 2nite

Cunningham's stock has certainly gone down from this performance.

Saying a a fighter is the unluckiest in boxing based on some hypothetical **** you think would happen if the fight wasnt stopped is simply stupid to say the least.

If you want to see someone who might actually be the unluckiest fighter in boxing go take a look at Ali Funeka.

Ya Ali Funeka is a much better example of an unlucky fighter. You could argue Troy actually got lucky being in the contender and became a sort of "champ" even though it wasn't the best competition.

Having said that, I'm choked about missing this fight. I had a feeling Ross was being underrated and Cunningham overrated, and that Ross's speed, power and class boxing class would prevail here. Cunningham is really just tall and american. Not the best. But sounds like he got really lucky here to get a win over "the BOSS".

I hope saureland makes the damn rematch. So I can actually watch it this time. Not that sylvester-karmazin garbage.

EDIT: One thing I like about USS, besides his class, is he always comes to fight and to WIN. Sylvester-Karmazin showed guys who didn't have that kind of will. Boring to watch.

I watched this fight and thought that Troy Ross easily won 3 of 4 rounds and in the 4th round, he knocked Cunningham down. The next thing I know, Ross is moving in to put pressure on Cunningham and Cunningham throws out a lazy punch. All the replays showed that the thumb of Cunningham gouged Rosses eye.

That punch or eye gouge tore Rosses eye right open and it should have gone to the scorecards and not been a TKO decision.

There is something very fishy going on as I heard that after the fourth round, the judges had it an even fight?? No way, Ross was ahead. A rematch should be warranted.

Apparently, Cunningham signed a multi fight deal with the German Promotional team Sauerland and their plan is to have Cunningham fight all the other German, Polish and Eastern european Cruiserweights.

There is no way they will give Ross a rematch after he was outclassing the Class of Cunningham!

Cunningham won the first two rounds. Three was close but I scored it also for USS. 4th was Ross but the KD looked like a fluke and Cunningham wasn´t hurt. Don´t know if that´s enough for a rematch.
