2 weeks ago Haye was raving about having O'Donnell vs Singleton as chief support for Sat. O'Donnell has gone awol, pulled out the fight with no good reason (left a note in the gym saying he's not fighting, has flu & switched his phone off) so....that leaves Singleton whose a known ticket seller without an eliminator to fight. Rather than give Shayne another 6/8 rounder he has cut him from the card altogether - meaning around 100 of his fans have paid the trip from Lancashire to London, hotels, tickets and all the rest - to watch a fighter whose not fighting. haye has flat out refused to let him fight at all. Fans lose out, again! Shocking behaviour really!
i know a few lads that had bought tickets, hotels etc to go and watch shayne, i was tempted myself. Absolute joke, both him and his fans are hundreds out of pockets, especially harsh considering its just after christmas
If he's big enough to take the credit for Hayemaker promotions when it goes right, he's big enough to take the flack when it goes wrong..! Simple as that! For what it's worth, Steve Goodwin was providing the undercard - on instruction of David Haye but Haye had final say. Those Salter brothers were financing a lot, but facts are facts he wants his name all over it when it's going good when the opposite happens then you have to accept it. Not so clueless after all am i! Smart a**e
haye having a dig at booth on the balding show last night and paddy making a comment on twitter as to be at groves
Haye's come back for one thing only and that's the AJ fight (read: money). I wouldn't be surprised to see that fight happen in the summer and win, lose or draw see him retire again.
You've obviously got some kind of defect, I clearly said there that Steve Goodwin was providing the undercard - on instruction of David Haye, as was released by both parties. haye has final say, again I'm not just making this up - this is what the man himself has stated. Therefore he's decided to not have Singleton on the bill.. Can't have it both ways... Your either calling the shots and receive the credit when it goes well and live with the stick when it goes wrong, or you don't. Simple...! End of the day he's the one raving about making the O'Donnell singleton fight in the first place , now look after the kid when it's not happening.. Shows lack of respect for fellow fighters, but mostly doesn't care a jot for the 100odd travelling from Burnley way.
I'd guess the 100 that have spent about £400 to travel to an event they now have no desire to to attend care. No matter, it's still shocking behaviour from a fellow professional. Personally hope it bombs out.. And as for the ticket sales doing well, that's tosh... I've had constant emails offering free tickets. Can't be that much demand after all..!
I forgot Haye was fighting tomorrow. Well, maybe he's fighting tomorrow. Maybe he's not, maybe there wont be a card at all. He's unreliable, but if it's still on at the moment that's an improvement on his last few efforts. I'm sure we'll find out around Sunday or Monday whether this show occurred or not.
Was Singleton offered another fight for the night? Has he been offered another opponent for the eliminator at a near future date making fighting tomorrow unfeasible? Im not trying to defend Haye, but what are the full facts on this?
