This is my entire point. Let's take Vernon Forest at 147. Now, one could argue that Vernon would be a better version of Kell Brook in this era (which would rank him top 10 p4p in this era). But let's be real do we see Cotto, Madianna, Manny, and Marquez beating Vernon? I don't think so. Again, Vernon is a third tier 147 pounder and he would've been the best fighter that Floyd ever fought if they ever met.

I know that. But against who?

He looks to be a great fighter, but it’s not that hard to win a belt today is it.

Adrien Broner was a world champ.

That's my point. Floyd never took chances like Crawford, Haney, Canelo, Loma, and Spence

He beat better fighters than Davis, the others I’d say no. Davis is around the Shane Mosley level, without the competitive drive.

Vernon Forrest? Forrest was beaten twice by Ricardo Mayorga (being knocked out the first time and OUTBOXED the second time). Forrest lost to freaking Sergio Mora. (Brian Vera beat Mora, twice). You don't think Pacquiao or Cotto or Oscar or any number of guys who beat the crap out of Mayorga beats Vernon?

Mayweather beat a lot of guys who were better than Vernon Forrest.

Vernon's claim to fame is beating Shane Mosley. Who cares? Floyd beat Mosley, too. And Floyd beats Vernon. And Floyd beats Mayorga. Like Floyd beat Cotto. And Floyd beat Oscar. And Floyd beat Canelo.

    Vernon Forrest? o_O

Floyd Mayweather took a ton of chances, he just won all those fights, so you don't consider them "chances."

Who did those others you listed take chances against? Shawn Porter? Kambosos? Gary Russell?
A real murderer's row, there. Good Lord. :hang

    Don’t be stupid.

If you’re going to debate, then be objective.

I’m a huge critic of Floyd, for how the final third of his career played out. But he did take risks.

What the hell as Haney done?

You’re obviously not familiar with Floyd’s career or his era.

Most of the guys he’s accused of missing, was at WW, which was his 4th weight class.

The guys you are hyping are still unproven.

I’m a huge fan of Spence. But what chances has he taken?

Will he eventually move up to JMW or even MW?

    Who knows.

Can we stop blowing industrial amounts of smoke up the asses of fighters who are huge for their divisions and who've either never beaten a prime world champion their own size or have only beaten one or two, have barely fought if any at all punchers or punchers their own size, and have never once beaten prime world champions a division one, two or three divisions above theirs who hold big/huge physical advantages over them and who hit hard/very hard for those divisions. Floyd proved himself against bigger world champions at weights one, two or three above his natural one and fighters who were big punchers for those weight classes. He wasn't boiling down the lower weights to go on leprechaun safari. Size matters.

We see the same crap now with one or two weight leprechaun bashers being ranked or rated better than the likes of Loma and Clenelo

Sure, this is true. But those guys are here NOW. Mayweather probably never ventures north of 140 if these guys were at the top of the division.

Guess it's too bad those P4P ratings mean nothing.

You could make an argument that Keith Thurman at the time would've been Floyd's toughest challenge

Porter is better than Madianna. Russell is better than Zab (shrugs)

So why did Floyd avoid him? Even Roger admitted that Vernon would be a stylistic nightmare for Floyd. If Hearns and Paul Williams are favoured to beat Floyd in a fantasy match up, why wouldn't Vernon?
