Depends, if you don't see it coming and you get hit by a guy with heavy hands then I'd say no.

but if you show a pattern of getting wobbled by average shots, don't recover from dammage and get KTFO by average punchers then I'd say you have a glass jaw.

Thanks man. Some people should check out Sven record if they dont get my point. 6 KOs in 34 wins and even Byron Mitchell went the distance. Playing devils advocate I would say that not all of Svens KO victories were against complete tomato cans unlike Valero.

 

Hearns always got up after getting hit but never went down for good. Hard to rate Hearns jaw. He was nailed against all the great fighters. Hagler and Leonard caught him clean and at times he took it all. Even Barkley in the rematch hit him with hellacious left hooks. He didn't go down. I don't think his jaw was as bad as people thought.

 

Some are hard to "KTFO".. very hard to KTFO.

imo a glassjaw is a guy with a propensity to hit the canvas (or go out cold), whenever getting hit by a punch i.e amir khan.

 

The fighter who cant take a slappy little punch let alone a decent one is the guy i refer to as "glass jawed". Getting KOd by a good hard punch once or twice in a long career dont exactly mean nothing more than what it is. When I see guys wobbled super easy and often then i know for sure the guy has glass jawitis bigtime.-patsch
