A buddy of mine said this: "Floyd was offered 8 mil to fight Margo, not only did Floyd decline... He went on to fight Mitchell, Gatt, Judah and Baldomir.. He barely craked 8 mil for all 4 fights combined..." Probably not true.. But did Floyd ever get anything close to 8 mil before the Hoya fight? :huh This content is protected
Hey Infidel, his question wasn't about the calling. it was about the money being offered and if he made at least 8mil combined. typical american people. like GW Bush. Avoid the questions by being political and stuff.
This is ABSOLUTE BULL****. 1) Floyd was offered 8 million to fight Margo. But that was AFTER fighting Judah, and before fighting Baldomir. 2) Floyd was paid 8 million dollars for fighting Baldomir.
8 million is probably not enough to make your balls appear and fight. The offer is true and Floyd made a lot over 8 million in those fights but probably didnt make as much as for the Oscar fight.
i was about to say this.... margarito is 100% risk and 0% reward margarito brings absolutely nothign to teh table no accomplishments no belts... marg had a belt and when you look back on floyds career that will be what people talk about... margarito wont even be a memory ( that is unless he beats cotto)
Still, I would have liked to see a Mayweather-Judah fight, and Tony was willing. It seemed like an avoidance at the time, and still does. Of course Floyds mouth didn't slow down. But it made me wonder why the self proclaimed greatest ever , ran from Margarito's challenge like a pigtail adorned milkmaid who found a wolf in the barn?
i agree with what you say but it is still is lame for the man who is supposed to be #1 P4P to be ducking the best guys in his division. im not saying i dont know see the business acumen behind his decisions but merely that it is really lame of him to do so.
