Of course, you dont take a bunch of nobodys to vegas. Margarito is a nobody. His style if forgetable. Only people who are mediocre love his mediocre all will-no-skill style. Its b/c you have not talent. People love the guy with no talent that just fights his heart out.

 

Floyd was offered 8million when he was a Welterweight, the Gatti fight was at 140 and talks about Margarito didn't rise till he jumped to Welterweight and Judah lost to Baldomir. Floyd made $8million fighting Baldomir for the undisputed title.

 

Baldomir had the Linear Title.

 

That's the reason why Floyd moved up to Welterweight anyway. He couldn't get the Hatton nor Cotto fights done so he jumped for the undisputed champion at Welterweight who was Judah and since Judah was taking on a tune-up and mandatory in Baldomir, Floyd also fought Mitchell as a tune-up and first fight at a new weight. Judah lost his fight and the rest is history.
