I like your proposal. I always fantasized about HEIGHT restrictions or height & weight index / proportion etc. ... but it would be kinda too "revolutionary" and too complex.

I would not allow anyone taller than 6'5 and weight more than 230lb to fight! Those boring giants ruined because they killed all entertaiment! They are big, slow and boring!Like Bert Sugar said that Lewis showed other big mans how to move and soon after that many giants tought that they could move fast too!
Max Baer and Dempsey would mop a floor with this jokes nowdays! Also boxing organisations allowed fighter to use PEDs and their best fighter do not face eash other witha big reason!Yeah It's money! They fought weak guys to gain public and money until(if?) big fight came!
Also many boxers today use weight lifting instead old fashioned bodyweight! They replaced roadwork with all those new shine gyms with treadmills and weights and they are allways gassed after round 8 until someone falls from exhaustion but not for being KOed!
Also you can see on Instagram every day more those new gyms!Old school gyms were great without girls and old fashioned boxing! Now you have personal trainers, treadmills, girls in tights who pretend that they really do something but they only went there to show their ass and bunch of glass jaw bodybuilders....
I have a grandpa 250lbs!He built his strenght from chooping woods and work on heavy equipment which is pure natural strong man and in other corner I have 250lb bodybuilder! Now check this!Who is heavier? My grandpa! Why if both weight same?Because his muscles are natural and he is heavy booned!Bodybuilder muscles are fake and filled with water! Now replace that with boxing! In one corner we have Foreman,Marciano,Baer and in other Klitchkos,Joshua...
Those are natural pure strenght and those new are only jacked giants with PEDs!
Old timers stamina and bones are harder! They not only could go 15 rounds but their bones and structure is heavier!
Well when you said those gyms or Instagram are fake but well every days there more and more of those stupid gyms and kids who looked like Mr. Olympia after few months but olds school boxing gyms?Every day less and less of them which is sad! Those new tomes and technology ruined everything! The god gave us a natural looking and gave us woods for chooping, roadwork but we instead hit gyms? Why?Everything entertaining turned to be **** now even boxing the sport of gladiators? If you wanna do something do roadwork and leave those new shiny gyms!

Is there an objective method to VISIBLY determine, that Fury isn't an elite fighter?

I actually think Lennox Lewis WAS a super heavyweight or at least given the standards of his own era. He was 6’5” and sometimes showed up weighing over 240. That said i believe the eras of old were more competitive from the stand point of having more instances where the best fought the best, less titles, men fighting more actively, a higher emphasis on skill rather than brute strength, and fighters peaking at younger ages.

    Yes Magoo you are Right!

S-HWs are 6'5" plus and a minimum of 225lbs - Lewis would be one yes, but again the Point of the Thread is to show

    a) they are NOT as Skilled
    b) it IS a completely different Division.

So if there are people out there who look at Fury, and believe they are watching an elite fighter - they are factually wrong? Is that what you're saying?

they are not wrong, but their BELIEF is...

Look, this is not an exercise in academics, it is a straight point, watch anyone of Fury's fights, watch all of them if you want.

then compare the Skill & Craft and finesse against Literally HUNDREDS of Traditional True Heavyweight fights, and the Skill, Craft and finesse is quite clear to see.

exactly as the videos in this thread show.

So those with a belief that differs from your opinion are simply wrong! Have you really no idea, how silly that is?

Yeah that's it, my opinion

are you one of those types that is just going to go on trying to cause a rift or are you going to Look and WATCH the Fight footage and Comment on what is being seen.

it's not a hard ask... Do Holy & Lewis look like better more Skilled Fighters or No they don't... I mean it's that simple.

comment on that and not a silly my opinion, your opinion, his opinion, their opinion

it's about the Consensus of Those Who think Yes, Holy and Lewis are defo better, Yes it's plain to see

or those who say No, Fury and Wilder are just as Good.

I'm one of those types who call BS on those who come on here, with the sole mission to bash the present.

    NOT my Mission at all,

JOSH WARRINGTON is an absolutely beautiful Boxer, with a chance of being among the very best Featherweights we ever produced and the world if he cements that skill over the next few years... oddly another Josh, Josh Taylor the same. Little Frampton was another.

AJ is the real deal too, but it seems stamina & inexperience is showing on him.

I DON'T Care if they are Today or Yesteryear, but when the Film Footage is Good, then Skill Levels are undeniable.

Agree to some extent but I wouldn’t make that blanket statement. Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko, Vitali Klitschko and even Tyson Fury to an extent all fall into the category of skilled big men.

It doesn't matter if they looked more skilled, what matters is if they were skilled enough to beat these fighters. The eye test means fcuk all when trying ro punch each others jaws off......
