    Round 9

Majungoen advancing on a very weary Chaiyawed, who is keeping his distance and throwing pot shot jabs off his front thigh, carrying his arms low when he can. Majungoen still with both fists bunched in front of his chin, plowing forward and throwing strong jabs, then working the body as soon as he gets in close. Kind of a nothing round, Chaiyawed playing keepaway for a lot of it.

    10-9 Majungoen

    89-82 Majungoen

    Round 10

Majungoen is gunning for the late KO, throwing big uppercuts just above the ribcage aiming to rip Chaiyawed in half, and doubling or even tripling up on them all while staying hunched over for extra torque. Chaiyawed again weathers the storm and circles out. Majungoen comes on, plants a few jabs on the face, and is pushed off with a quick scramble by Chaiyawed, leaping up from a partial crouch with a bunch of hooks. Chaiyawed immediately reverts to wide circling and pot shot jabs once the urgent threat is past. That wasn't a renewed will to win, it seems he just specifically doesn't want to lose by KO.

    ...and he doesn't.

    10-9 Majungoen

    99-91 Majungoen

Comment from the YouTube feed sums up the second half (or the last three or four rounds anyway, since he was still trying hard in the sixth).

Energy: very disappointing, Lerdchai was doing very well and now he is no longer engaging

I wouldn't exactly put Kongfah in the absolute bottom-most circle of fraudulent padded record Thais, as he isn't terrible or anything - but at now 41-1-1 his only remotely world class opponent remains Daigo Higa, in a loss wherein he got bullied and knocked out despite the green Japanese fighter coming in with only half as much pro experience. Since then his stock & trade has been feasting on somewhat well known gatekeepers (well-known to Asian scene aficionados, that is - the likes of Edison Berwela, Manot Comput, and Mateo Handig) and fringe contenders like Wittawas "Samartlek Kokietgym" Basapean, many of them over the hill when he fought them.

We saw him face someone his own age today, a 6-6 novice, and he was given all he could handle for a spell in the middle. It wouldn't be pushing the boundaries of reasonability to have actually had Chaiyawed up 58-56 through six rounds. If and when Kongfah steps up again, to face a prime top 15 international talent, I suspect class (or lack thereof in this case) will tell.

...btw, I missed the first half of the broadcast live, but if you rewind to near the beginning of that YouTube link you should be able to watch Kongfah's harder-punching and overall more formidable bantamweight stablemate Tasana "Petch CP Freshmart" Salapat in the co-feature. I didn't even realize he was going to be on the card, as BoxRec usually only has the main event listed until after the fact.

Don't get too excited though, just him blowing out some 0-2 jabroni.

Salapat's fight (which has now disappeared off Boxrec along with the rest of the undercard :dunno) starts 39min in.
