I was on BoxRec, smart aleck!

    https://boxrec.com/en/ratings?role=proboxer&offset=0&sex=M&division=Minimumweight

I clicked on each name going down the line and didn't see the IBF title listed under anyone's name. Cuarto is all the hell the way down at #11! :duh

(I did ultimately go Wikipedia it right before your post, but...shouldn't have needed to. What is up with the fukky computerized ranking system where a reigning strap holder is ranked eleventh??)

It all goes to my original point of the division being up for grabs for Knockout, though. No real major threats even among the champs. I would never in a million years have remembered that it was Cuarto without looking it up on Wiki.

Panya Pradabsri vs. Peerapat Muaydet 789, 4 rounds @ strawweight

    (with headgear though, so...blah)

Ginjiro is my h2h #2 behind Niyomtrong, but with a ceiling to potentially blow right past him. :deal:

Evidently he was full on method, maybe he'll double down and go southpaw next time.:sisi1

Boxrec's rankings have always been iffy for the lower weights.

Too bad most of the champs at strawweight haven't had any major exposure. Mendez was supposed to face Buitrago who pulled due to weight problems, Menayothin was due to fight Remantizo (forgot who he was and dont' care to look it up) in April last year until Covid broke up and lost against Panya.

I would like if either Shigeoka bro manages to win a major title and could sign with someone like Eddie Hearn to fight on DAZN in America, Mexico or even Japan.

Bimbito Méndez is a decent pure boxer; I am actually a fan of his but he's a total feather fist and he isn't beating an "on form" Niyomtrong like we saw today. Against the Knockout that was going through motions for the latter half of his reign, eh, maybe he could have squeaked a decision were it not in Thailand.

The real inheritors and possible global stars of the division are the Shiggies, yeah.

What is the point of Pradabsri having a boring sparring match be televised? Is anybody supposed to find this entertaining?

For a handpicked nobody, Muaydet 789 is getting in an awful lot of clean licks.

Every time Pradabsri starts styling on him with a fancy jab, quick lean aside, then spring up and hook off the jab move, Muaydet 789 stuffs it and gives him a receipt. Not following the script to make the champ look good and take a beating obediently, love to see it.

Salapat is the southpaw... only 27 years old but he's a 60-1 (45) veteran, albeit with a 99% padded record, with his only pro loss against Takuma Inoue. He's up there among Thailand's most popular fighters (in this sport, anyway, not including Muay Thai practitioners obviously)

Damn, this Lukmak Car 111 is a lot more game than his coworker that fought Doraphon/Petchmoraket in the opener. He came to rumble! :ggg

edit: but...that does end up gets him dropped in the second, whoops!

30-26 Salapat, but he's being forced to work for these rounds (even the one in which he scored a knockdown)
