Most of those punchers were dirty and or illegal.

You dont score by hitting the back of the head, arms or hitting the back in general, minus those from how many he landed to get a more accurate figure

Once again Floyd won, people are upset, so excuses are made for why Maidana "won" the fight. Marcos did better than everyone expected because of how Floyd fought him. Marcos gets his 15 mins of fame for doing better against Mayweather than recent opposition and a nice check to boot. He can continue to fight and beat the Devon Alexander's of the world.. Oh wait, I meant the Adrien Broner's of the world and make a nice living.

Hey , If Floyd is putting his head down , That's no one esles fault but Floyd .

You cant complain about getting hit in the back of the head when you yourself is choosing to face your head down .

Your opponent is going to swing regardless .

So what does that mean ? If your opponent is facing his head down , you have to wait to hit him until he looks up again ? If that was the case a lot of fighters would be unbeatable .

So I take it when you watched Mayweather-Maidana , When ever Chino started swinging . You was probably saying to yourself

" That didn't land !, and that didn't land! " That was to the back of the head , So that don't count , " That landed on the arms so that don't count either " "Okay 1 punch landed on the chin, big deal it was just 1 punch"

"OKAY Mayweather wins that round for just his defense only "

No , It doesn't work that way .

Some of the times Floyd was putting his head down other times Maidana was throwing looping overhead shots aiming straight at Mayweathers head, still the question needs to be why is Maidanas fist round the back of Floyds head, thats because that is exactly where Maidana was aiming. He was fighting dirty the whole time, so i highly doubt him hitting the back of Floyds head was accidental.

True, espeically when the guy you're facing doesnt actually know how to box, just throw punches anywhere and everywhere.

Pretty much, is that not how you score fights? punches that hit arms etc do not count. The judges seem to agree with my method of scoring.

No Mayweather wins that round because he landed scoring blows whereas Maidana was hitting arms, elbows and back of the head. :hi:

Maidana won anywhere from 5-7 rounds of that fight, in no way did Floyd dominate. I've watched it a few times and i scored it 6-6 with a few swing rounds so no problem with 7-5 either way.

I agree, in no way did Floyd dominate the whole fight. He did win though.
I remember the strange phenominon watching Byrd - McCline and other similar matches. The tiny man tends to be awarded rounds by fans and judges simply for not getting his ass smashed in the 3 minute stanza. Although the difference between Floyd and Marcos isn't physical, Floyd is a giant in the sport. So maybe Marcos is getting the benefit of the little guy here. Just a thought.

That fight was a draw at worse and a 9-3 Mayweather win at best. I got caught up in Maidana's aggressiveness watching live but all the best punches whether in the center of the ring or on the ropes were landed by Mayweather. 3 Maidana rounds, 6 Mayweather round, 3 close rounds give all 3 to Marcos it's a draw give all 3 to Floyd it's a 9-3 win.
