Agreed the first fight was egregious. I scored the first for GGG and second one barely for Canelo.

Yet there is no doubt peak for peak, GGG is the better middleweight. No doubt.

The first and second, GGG won them without debate, the second was actually wider than the first. Canelo only has an argument for winning the third, and even that was closer than the scorecards reflect.

In the end, I hope GGG is remembered for the true champion that he was. He was a dominant force in the MW division for years. He was ducked until he got old. He would have ended many more careers if they had dared to fight him.

Both fights were an absolute robbery. I'm not having any of that it could have gone either way bs.

Both were straight up robberies, I even made a post here counting every single punch in GGG vs Canelo 2 and GGG outlanded him in every round comfortably pretty much, and AI backs me up.

Gennady won the first fight hands down. He was the aggressor and a very active one at that, and since you're more open in that case, he accepted his own, which gave rise to speculation that he has poor defense and other nonsense.

So in the second fight, he decided to change tactics and show the judges that he's also better at boxing. He used much more jab and "shot" Canelo Alvarez with it.

So what did people think? That Canelo was the aggressor, so he deserved the win.

It's a shame that in the first fight this logic didn't work the other way around...

The third fight is already an age advantage. Despite everything, GGG didn't embarrass himself. On Polish websites, many people predicted that GGG would now hit him early because Canelo is in incredible energy.

It turned out that not only Alvarez was unable to do anything to Gennady, but in the second part of the fight he had to give up because Golovkin wasn't that old at all and he kept up with him hard.

One of the more unpleasant scams in boxing, where the unmovable statue from the east simply had to be cheated to take his position.

The second such acid was in the case of Andre Ward and Kovalev.

    Nasty tactics

The first fight was one of the worst robberies I have ever seen it was a clear 116-112 for GGG
The second fight Canelo did better but it was still a clear 115-113 for GGG
Add in the fact that GGG was 35 years old and Canelo tested positive for PED's and they rob GGG twice it really is one of the biggest corruptions in sporting history.

What about the Nevada State Athletic Commission? They appointed the officials.

They ought to change the result of the first GGG v Canelo fight & the result of the first Jeff Fenech v Azumah Nelson fight.

That would involve admitting that their officials performed disgracefully though so it won't happen.

On both occasions the Nevada officials looked after the 'house' fighter. Canelo promoted by Oscar at the time & Azumah promoted by Don King. There wasn't an American horse in the race but they still couldn't help themselves.

They have not overturn a decision. WBC has.

GGG robbed in first fight. I had G winning 2nd fight in a much closer affair where Canelo fought well.
Never bothered ever watching 3rd fight.

Seems to be a myth that its accepted that Canelo won the second, when almost all the media scored it for GGG or a draw. Barely anyone had Canelo winning. Truthfully GGG beat him both times.

Yes they have. They changed Kostya Tszyu v Leonardo Mas from Technical Draw to No Contest.

It's up to the Nevada State Athletic Commission to change the result of the fight, not the WBC.

Draw and no contest doesn’t change the outcome. Neither won. Here there was no foul.

The Fenech, WBC declared a winner. Which is not the same thing.

    I thought GGG won too.
