Páez is rushing in, forcing up-jabs toward Benavidez's face but getting walked onto uppercuts. Páez is shoving in close, looping a right into the far side of the ribs but knocked reeling by a counter hook from Benavidez. Páez is flicking jabs up into Benavidez's waiting palm at medium-long range. Páez rushes in and is pushed down into a headlock. Big uppercut by Benavidez at the bell.

Páez is being told he needs a KO. They're giving him absolutely no instructions as to how to achieve that fool's errand.

 

Round 12

Glove touch. Páez jabs into the guard and is parried with a downward swipe of Benavidez's left, hiding a sneaky double-tap right hand on the cheek/temple from Benavidez. Páez staggers back and is FLOORED by a big left hook!! He shoots up but the ref doesn't like what he sees when giving him instructions.
