Just a part of one of his latest articals from espn.

"Mayweather is hilarious. While Pacquiao tears through guys bigger than him with ferocity -- remember, Pacquiao was a junior lightweight until last year and has fought only four times at heavier than 130 pounds -- Mayweather has avoided the top challenges, for the most part, in recent years. That's why he never fought Cotto or Antonio Margarito or Paul Williams or Shane Mosley.

While Pacquiao has destroyed the bigger Cotto, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton (with a single punch in the second round) and David Diaz in his last four fights, Mayweather picked on the much smaller Marquez, needed 10 rounds to get rid of the smaller Hatton and escaped with a split decision against De La Hoya.

One guy (Mayweather) talks about fighting the best, but has yet to face a prime welterweight. The other guy (Pacquiao) takes on the best guys who are bigger than him and does it in an exciting fashion.

Does anyone actually believe Mayweather's nonsense that Pacquiao is afraid to fight him? Obviously, it's all posturing for the business deal that I believe will eventually be made to match them.

Why not save us all some time and just make it a 50-50 deal and be done with it? There is no other opponent who can make either guy close to the kind of payday Pacquiao and Mayweather can make with each other, so why quibble over a few points here or there when you're talking about tens of millions of dollars and maybe the most anticipated fight since the first Sugar Ray Leonard-Thomas Hearns showdown?"

Dont get me wrong, mayweather is a great boxer, but is quickly becoming overrated with consistantly fighting "safe" fights at weights that generally only benefit him.

And for ****s sake he's a hypocrite sometimes.

i was just gonna ask that. seriously, you can be a fan of floyd and admit his flaws. i really like floyd and defend him on the forum but i can be honest about the weaknesses in his opinions, attitudes, style and fights. just cause you like a fighter doesn't mean you can't provide criticism

    My point exactly.

Thats kinda where i was gonna try to go with this, to see if there is any floyd fans (like me, at least for his boxing ability) that can accept that fact he is full of **** alot (with being a hypocrite) and admit it.

That doesnt change the fact pac's fights usually were pretty decent gambles. And mayweather's fights were generally consisting of fighters fighting at weights they had no business at fighting at, because the weights favor mayweather. The one time mayweather fought bigger than he should of, he went life and death with the corpse of dlh.

If anything pac's the one fighting (and winning) at the bigger weights he really has no business at. Pac takes chances. Floyd does not.

No buddy....what I said had nothing against you...I just don't like dan rafael....

But for defending Floyd, I do it to a certain extent but I don't think he is full of ****...The argument that Floyd avoided the top welterweights...cotto & pwill weren't even proven yet....sure Floyd could have fought mosely but he turned Floyd down so that DLH could fight him....that's not Floyd's fault.....then rafael talks about the amt of time Floyd needed to beat the same ones Manny fought....is called "style of fighting"...that will get you totally different results each time....

Damn I hate typing this from my phone...lol.... :D

For the sake of this argument **** rafael. I only showed his name for the credit of the quote.

I just wanna know if you think that info against may is legit and if not how so. Think of it as if i wrote it myself if you have to.

When it comes to may maybe thinkin pac's scared,

At this point, I think may wants the pacman fight. He just doesnt want to be the one to ask for it (although he all but has), making it look like he needs pacman.

And pacman doesnt want to say he wants the may fight, making it look like he needs may.

Pissing match at this point to me honestly when it comes to making the fight.
