Louis Ali Tyson Foreman Holmes Johnson Liston Frazier Lewis Jeffries Dempsey Witherspoon Vitali Rocky Bowe Wlad Douglas Walcot Charles Tunney Schmeling Paterson This is on the best day of there lives. Its tough picking with Foreman and Tyson.I do not know where to put Holyfield :rasta
so you wanna say that Vitali is better than Charles,Walcot, rocky and patterson ? bull**** and Holmes at 4, foreman 5
Interesting list from different angles - some very brave picks only joking - I'll get the any cons out of the way first....Douglas ahead of Walcott, CHarles, Tunney, Schmeling, and Patterson is....well.....atsch:rofl:scaredas: Witherspoon??? Ahead of Marciano aaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahah that's probably the funniest thing I've ever seen on these boards ever - and thats saying something other than that refreshing to see Ali not at Number 1 (at least) even if he is at number 2 Interesting to see Jeffries make an appearance in a moderners top 10 Good to see Bowe looking good at 15 - I have him at 12 - magnificent fighter the night of first Holyfield fight OMG how did I miss Vlad being slipped in there??!!!! That's awful too BTW but overall pretty good list always interested to see where people having different fighters -however outlandish they might seem to me on first inspection - my list would probably look pretty shocking to you I'm guessing haha
so this list is JUST them on the best days of their lives? so the douglas here is JUST the douglas from the tyson fight, bowe from the holyfield fight, etc. I can see this list working from that angle but the best witherspoon is still nowhere near the best schmeling for instance
Bowe ahead of Wlad? Unthinkable. Lewis is far too low. He dominated the toughest era and is perhaps the best head to head fighter we've seen. Both debatable of course, but if any era is better than the 90s it's only the 70s You have too much emphasis on great wins rather than great careers for my liking
I think we need to be fair here, you made it clear that it's a man on his best night. I don't see how vitali can be anywhere since he's not had to win a great fighter yet. Max beating louis could be the best victory in hw history. Frazier over ali. Ali over foreman. Foreman over frazier all deserve a mention. Douglas was more the right man at the right time to me but I can buy the other argument. Wlad v byrd or chag was dominant. Lewis v golota perhaps. Liston v patterson. Bowe v holyfield. Holyfield v tyson. Tyson v spinks.
Mine are - Ali Louis Holmes Foreman Frazier Liston Lewis Tyson Holyfield Johnson Marciano Walcott Charles Dempsey Patterson Tunney
Vitlai would mop the ring apron with Charles, Walcott, Rocky, and Patterson who anyway you slice it are simiply too small to compete with him. Holmes at #4 is fine. Foreman at #5 is a bit high. Tyson at #3? No way, very high.
outside of the top two you have champs who were knocked out in title fights higher than champions who were NOT knocked out in title fights like marciano, tunney, holyfeild and dempsey. :huh
