He had gotten in great shape for the quarry rematch, 9 months before Norton 1, had he kept himself in shape he might have avoided that loss.
Ali could have been as good as he was in Norton/Quarry 2 for most of 1971-1974 if he didn't frequently balloon up in weight.

Give Pep Saddler's power and you probably have an unbeatable fighter at his best.

 

If it has to be a swap with a fighter they actually fought, what about Bruno with Tysons chin?
Not sure how much difference it makes to him in the long run but be interesting.

 

He already was virtually unbeatable at his best. Doesn’t even need Saddler’s power - just give him back his legs.

 

He was feather fisted. Saddlers power would make a world of difference to him even as great as he was.

 

Saddler's power with Pep's movement and combination punching and Pep could arguably dominate the Saddler series.

Pep throws some great combinations and leaves himself having to do it round after round cos he isn't getting most sturdy fighters out of there.

 

Nah, there's fighters that can really bang or are physical that Pep would always struggle with. Saddler beats up on Pep pre and post plane crash - crushing power is always an equaliser.
