:thinkPerhaps he is thinking of the pastuerization process? In any case, i would reccomend cows milk over estrogen inducing soy.

Soy doesn't 'induce' estorgen. It contains isoflavins, which mimic a very weak estrogen. (1000x weaker than the body's natural estrogen).

Thank you. I am somewhat brainwashed by the bodybuilding sites and mags in most regards to nutrition.

I am always looking of ways to improve my knowledge and welcome posts such as the one you posted.

I'm not sure about soy but the "cows milk is shite 4 u" comment is BS.

Regular milk has a lot of fat in it, but I don't think it is necessarily bad for you.

You need fat in your diet. There are vitamins and nutrients that cannot be absorbed without fat.

Something important for you to know.

Anything you eat POST WORKOUT, if its an intense workout, doens't REALLY matter for fat loss, it's more recovery and recharge your muscles so to speak.

It's what you have throughout the rest of the day that matters.
Have less carbs, take more exercise, you'll lose the fat.
10 lbs of fat should be able to go in 10 weeks or so.

Oh and eating fat is good for you. Dietary fat is fine. Like deitary cholesterol isn't bad for you to intake, like in eggs.

My 2 Cents (if you box, don't change your boxing routine, just add this to it, if you don't box, then just do this, this needs to be an addition to what you do on a daily basis):

    Workout:

Monday: 45 Minutes (1 hour max) Weight-Lifting, 30-Minute Bike Ride. Do your Ab-work at night, separate from the weight-lifting, preferably during your boxing workout if you have one.

    Tuesday: Sprint-Work

Wednesday: 45 Minutes (1 hour max) Weight-Lifting, 30-Minute Bike Ride. Do your Ab-work at night, separate from the weight-lifting, preferably during your boxing workout if you have one.

Thursday: Interval work using jump-rope or a machine.

Friday: 45 Minutes (1 hour max) Weight-Lifting, 30-Minute Bike Ride. Do your Ab-work at night, separate from the weight-lifting, preferably during your boxing workout if you have one.

Saturday: 45-Minute Run. Jog for as far as you can for time, if you don't make it the full 45 Minutes, walk the rest of the way.

Sunday: REST (preferably) or Light Walk/Swim if you can't relax.

    DIET:
You already know you need to lower your calories alongside this exercise program between 300-500 a day. You also need your carbs if you're an athlete. You need your carbs as fuel throughout the day, and your protein to rebuild your muscles, but you also need your daily fat. You should stick to something like a 45% carb, 35% protein, 20% fat type of diet. The % can go up or down 5 for any of these depending on your weight and calorie intake.

All your daily carbs should basically come from 2 fruits, 3 vegetables, 1 gatorade, and oatmeal/pasta/rice. Eat all the fruits in the morning/afternoon and save the vegetables for afternoon/night-time. Your fat should come from good sources like Peanut Butter. Your protein should come from sources like Steak, Chicken, Turkey, Fish, and Eggs.

I would also invest in three supplements: Optimum Whey Protein, Multivitamin, and Flaxseed oil. Take the latter two with your breakfast and the shake directly after your workout. You can also take one or two more at different times of the day, if you are in need of more protein in your diet. They are also pretty low-calorie, as they're only 120 per serving with a lot of protein. I would also advise you to drink 1 fruity drink like gatorade directly after your workout (alongside the shake). Hope this helps a little.

Straight after a workout I have gotten into the habbit of having a 57g of beef jerky and a banana.

I love both foods and they seem a good fit for my training interms of nutrients and protien. Am I right or awfully wrong?
