i still don't understand how anyone can use the time as an excuse, it was 2.00am or whatever it was for both fighters. in fact if you and other people are using this as an excuse because he lived in sydney australia, they're 10 hours ahead of uk time, which means he was fighting at 12.00 midday in australian time, it was hatton who was fighting in the middle of the night.

 

The ref let Hatton get away with anything he wanted to in that fight.

His biggest win is against a halfway retired fighter.

 

But the issue isn't about the time they were fighting. The issue (from people with eyes) is about how Hatton fought his fight that night. He was as dirty as his local pub.

 

all this talk of hatton winning because of the ref is bull****, hatton was a machine that night. it was the young hungry fighter against the older, but far from over the hill champ. he wasn't that dirty in that fight, i've seen far worse, but the revisionists make it that way now as a way of discrediting him. he wouldn't have been named ring fighter of the year for that fight if he was.

hattons style would have given koysta trouble in his prime as well, and the result could have been just the same.
