What a stupid post. When did Kosta fight anyone like Floyd? The closest fighter was Zab Judah who isnt a tenth of the fighter Floyd is.

Kosta Tzyu lost to Vince Phillips.

Everyone knows that he lost to Phillips. Everyone knows that his weakness was against that type of fighter. It's one of the things that stops him from being a true ATG.

But the fact is he ate slick fighters for breakfast. His timing and distancing was better. His power was better. His speed was deceptive.

I'm not saying Floyd doesn't have a chance, he obviously does. He could take it to a UD. But it's more likely that Kostya knocks him out.

    vs this guy.

A little about the guy that beat him that night, Jose Luis Castillo.

Stopped at every weight class he has fought at: FW, SFW, LW, JWW, WW.

    At LW:

Draw and MD against Stevie Johnson.
    Controversial SD against Casamayor
    Barely beat Juan Lazcano.
    Knocked out by Corrales.

    At JWW:
Beaten by Herman Ngoudjo and received a gift.
Knocked out by Ricky Hatton in 4 rounds.

    Kostya lost to Phillips.
Floyd lost to Jose Luis Castillo.

Not to take anything away from JLC. He was a very food fighter who held the WBC LW belt and had 5 defenses.
Phillips was an IBF champion with 3 defenses and a lot of drug problems. A wasted potential. The Phillips who knocked out Tszyu, Ward, Pendelton would have beaten a 140 Castillo without any problems. Even the 37-year old VP who gave a prime Vernon Forrest a very tough fight would have done the same.

When Kostya was 35/36 he lost to Ricky Hatton in a match with a lot of wrestling, rabbit punching and ball-punching in the other boxer's home turf (as usual) . There was no Cortez and Bayless. Floyd is 34 now. Let's wait and see when he fights a young lion.

Tszyu! I think that PBF outboxes him for a time but that Kostya catches him and stops him late....PBF could have had this fight when he was at 140 but he choose to duck Tszyu.

    Tszyu tko8 PBF

I just love it when people bring up this fight. And then completely ignore the fact that Floyd went into the fight with an injury he sustained during training camp. And yes, he struggled in this one.

But explain this. Why didn't he struggle in the rematch? By the 9th round Floyd had Castillo looking like he was ready to call it an early night. True or false?

Castillo is the best lightweight of his era. Vince Phillips is a nobody.

Floyd beat Castillo twice. Kosta Tzyu got stopped by Phillips.

To sum it up. You're a moron.

btw, this fights at 140 dope, not 135.

Stop bringing up Castillo wtf. Every time somebody tries to say FLoyd will lose, they point to Castillo. FLoyd proved twice that he's better than him.
Do you guys know why Castillo even had success against Floyd? His size helped a lot, also read this

    Let get this right.

Floyd entered the LW division in 2004. As I remember, during this time Tszyu injured his shoulder and required surgery as he was preparing for a rematch with Mitchell. Their fight ended up being pushed back until Novermber 2004. Come 2005 Floyd fought Gatti and Tszyu fought Hatton. If they both win, that could have set up a unification bout. Guess what happened. Floyd embarrassed Gatti. Tszyu quit against Hatton and then immediately retires. :hi:There goes the fight.

Let me also mention that Tszyu's fight was on the June 5 and Floyd's was June 25. Floyd called out Tszyu even though Tszyu had already lost. What was Tszyu answer............retirement. So who ducked who? Nobody. Tszyu realized his skills were fading and decided to call it a career. No shame in that. The timing just wasn't there for them to meet in the ring.

Moral of the story is, know what the hell your talking about before your ******ed remarks make you look like a dumbass.:good

You forgot to mention the part where Floyd called out Tzyu while he was still at 130 and was about to move up to 135 :deal
