about the ref or the low blows or the illegal holding and hitting or the winking and nodding between Hatton and Paris...

and simply said 'The better fighter won tonight. I make no excuses.'

Shouldn't y'all be saying the same thing?

Maybe I haven't seen all the threads but who the **** is stupid enough to say Floyd isn't the better man?
Ricky was out of his league, but there's no shame in losing to the p4p no.1.

Out of his league? He did manage to win some rounds, and stunned Floyd early. Hatton fought well, his well just wasn't good enough. Floyd stood up to his pressure, figured him out, and finished him off. Floyd proved, again, that he is still the best fighter in boxing. Floyd did not prove that Hatton was out of his league. It's not like he did to Hatton what he did to Gatti.

Look I'm British too, I wanted Ricky to win, I put a bet on Ricky as I really hoped he could do it, but the fact is he isn't in Floyds league, I couldn't give Ricky more than three rounds and as you wrote, he wasn't good enough and Floyd is the best fighter in boxing, if Ricky was in Floyds league the fight would have been alot closer. But feel free to disagree with me as I have no problem disagreeing with you.

When I say that someone is out of someone's league I mean something along the lines of not belonging in the same ring with each other.

I remember giving Hatton 3 or 4 rounds. If it were 4, and Mayweather won in the 10th, I would have had the fight 86-84 after deducting the point from Hatton.

I don't think Hatton showed he would have a good chance of winning a rematch, or anything like that. It just sounds, to me, like an insult to say someone is not in someone's league. Clearly, your were not insulting him.

Now. I have spent way too much time in this thread. It is not like we're debating something important.

I also gave Hatton 3 rounds. He did set the pace most of the bout but he just couldn't land anything significant.
