Truth right here! He gives Floyd one tough fight, the floyd stans think he's ATG material. He got blanked by Devon Alexander and beaten by Khan as well. Says a little more then one tough fight does.
You dont know **** about boxing. Youve never seen Philips fight nor have you ever even seen that fight. Stylistically maidana is a bad match up for zoo Phillips showed him no respect and stopped him Hatton made him quit with pressure and rough housing tactics. Maidana can do all of this except he punches harder than them both. Dont you ever in your ****ing life say i dont know **** about boxing because i will embarrass you in any boxing debate you sick weirdo masquerading as a woman on a boxing forum.
I am not a huge Tszyu fan. I always felt he was a bit overrated. That being said, he would destroy the face-first Maidana. Tszyu wins by KO in 8 or less.
Love both these guys. I see this fight producing fireworks for however long it lasts much like Tszyu-Hurtado and similarly Maidana-Ortiz. I can envision them trading knockdowns for about 6 or 8 rounds til Tszyu starts finding a home for those left hooks to the body and that straight right upstairs. He begins to wear Maidana down slowly before eventually detonating one of his patented one two’s right down the middle. Marcos is a warrior and somehow...he rises. But Tszyu’s a world class finisher and he gets his man outta there in one of the 140lb division’s best fights ever.
Tszyu would have destroyed Maidana, a repeat of the Gonzalez and Ruelas fights, that if Maidana lasted that long!
Good thread. I'm a fan of both guys, but I agree with the majority here. Kostya was on a different level. He only had 18 fights and was really smelling his own **** when he faced the veteran Phillips. That fight taught him a lot. He was getting old when he faced Hatton, in a fight I thought Hatton was given way too much freedom to maul. There's a balance between what they let Hatton do to Tszyu, and the break-every-breath officiating in his fight with Mayweather. I can see people likening Chino to Hatton, but they really aren't all that similar. Maidana is also no stranger to the canvas, and I don't think he ever faced hands as heavy as Tszyu's. And I know he never faced those kinds of hands attached to such a great technical boxer.
