Tszyu tests his feet in the water at 147 Vrs the winner of Mayorga / Vargas. Good fight to see if he's shot /how shot he is. If he wins good tune up for a title fight. Maybe against Mayweather. (Tszyu should avoid cotto like the plague he would get exterminated by Cotto at this point in his career (possibly any point; bad matchup). Tszyu could probably take the Cintron / Williams belt. Tszyu prob should stay retired but the way he talks the candle still burns in him so this is a good option if he wants to do it.
I can't see Mayorga or Vargas getting back down to 147. If Tszyu wants to return, he should fight somebody like Gavin Rees or Ricardo Torres at 140.
why not when they fought the 1st time it was even fight going into 10 then hatton hit tszyu with the most viscious low blow i've ever seen in my life
that would be a mistake after having 2years out,he wont rematch hatton like he didnt vince phillips,he should return against minimal opposition at 140.mayorga will fight at 154 i think, vargas will retire.
Tszyu well never I doubt again reach the level of fitness he needs to beat Hatton. Its just a bad match. Id like to see him win (dont get me wrong prime tszyu or even neutral ref Tszyu beats hatton; but not anymore) if he comes back.
Mayorga has said he plans on fighting at 147 again. As a tester Tszyu could fight Mayorga at 152. Who cares.
I think Tszyu could make 140 if he really put in the effort. His workout plan is apparently one of the craziest in sports, let alone boxing. Weight was never a problem for him. But, being he is a getting up there a bit 147 might be the next option. I do think he should take a tune up fight or two before stepping up to the elite. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he just goes right after the top dogs. He might just want to see if he still has it. A lot of speculation in my post, I know.
Tszyu has said explicity that if he comes back it wont be at 140. The biggest fights for him are not at 140 anyway.
This would be my dream....but only if Tszyu was guaranteed the win! I just couldn't stand to see him beaten again.:nono Boxing...and life, just doesn't work that way, does it?
