From what I can gather Kostya kind did his one thing in regards to honing his technique...bringing a lot of his own training habits into the gym. Im not really sure what Lewis could have done to him early on because he couldnt speak any English. It happens a fair bit in boxing...when amatuer starts crossover. Some people call it "falling in love with their power"..Just seems like they form bad habits as more emphasis is put on going for the KO and hurting your opponent in the pro ranks. Not really sure about Darchinyan as I havent seen any of his amatuer stuff...but from his early days he seemed to have that style. I remember vividly his exciting tussles with Sande Kizito, another Sydney Olympian...a few people at the time said he might not make it in the big time, including his current trainer Angelo Hyder. Vic fights his fight though..and doesnt really seem like someone telling him how do to things. Hyder's technical knowledge certainly wouldnt be any better than Fenech..who incidently I think is surprisingly knowledgeable in this regard, at least for a guy who fought how he fought...but he is an excellent motivator and a top notch corner man, so thats probably all he is there for.
