P4P H2H I would favour RJJ, Tyson, Ali, SRL, SRR, PBF, Hearns etc over Calzaghe. Tszyu isnt one of them, I rate Kostya very highly but Joe's tough chin would make it incredibly hard on Kostya and Calzaghe will go on to outbox him.

apparently Chavez was completely washed up when he lost to Oscar, but when Tszyu fought him it was a terrific performance...

Where has anyone said it was a terrific performance?

I would also like to point out that anybody that rates Mike Tysons win over Larry Holmes as a good one, then dismisses a fight like this is a hypocrite of the highest order.

Did somebody mention Tszyu and Hatton being the same age??????

I'm assuming that was a wind up. Tszuy was almost Chavez's age in that fight. (and had been less active...). But of course, that fights OK as a career defining one for Hatton?

Good performance but it was expected to be that good.

People got to remember that the mexican loving WBC made Chavez Kostya's mandatory. As much he tried to hype it up, you could tell from some interviews that Kostya didnt hold this win in high regard, He knew that JCC was 748.

Kostya Tszyu had fantastic technical skills. Have you watched many of his fights? His timing and accracy was emmence and how he could deal with speed was beutiful to watch.

Prime for Prime. Chavez would have taken him out late in a great great fight.

Yeah, more surprising is that I would have Calzaghe winning that one every time and he would not...

Chavez was more shot than Sonny Corleone when Tszyu beat him

Tszyu was an excellent fighter and would've been competitive with the Chavez of the late 80s and early 90s, but this win meant nothing.

    It was like Holmes-Ali.

Great beat down of A geriatric fighter. What happens when Tszyu fights someone his age? (RH)

Err what??....Tszyu was 35 years old when he fought Hatton and had fought three rounds in three years, plus was coming off surgery. He was OLD. He is now RETIRED. It was his last fight (he won't be coming back ...)

Tszyu was forced to fight Chavez. Chavez was made his mandatory and the WBC told Tszyu if he didn't fight Chavaz he would be stripped.

Tszyu has stated at various times he did not want to fight Chavez, that he had a lot of respect for him, and I think his performance was slightly tainted. He hurts Chavez at various times and doesn't pounce on the guy like he has on other opponents.

Prime for prime Tszyu has a chance against anyone at 140.
