I agree that if they don't get Charlo this time, they never will. The Rugby League people want to use Tim's fight in Las Vegas to promote their own sport so are likely to be kicking in plenty of extra bucks to make that happen. Jermell will get the best offer he's ever been made or ever will be made to fight Timmy so I think they will move on from Jermell permanently (& possibly also the Jr Middleweight division) if they don't get him.

 

The Charlo brothers are not what PBC hyped them to be, and I have mentioned that forever.
When they loss back-to-back on the same night against Korobov (who was robbed) and Harrison, I knew my words finally had validity.

Korobov had a 2 week camp and schooled the man. He was eating chips and drinking vodka one week and putting on a clinic the next.

Pbc didn't hype them. They came up through the ranks the hard way. They hyped guys like lubin and j rock and Harrison not the charlos. They just so happen to upset those guys and derail their hype then people starting taking notice. They were never supposed to get as far as they got.

 

One Charlo comes out of hiding only to be replaced in hiding by the other one.

 

Charlo fights for the money, meaning he'll never fight Tszyu who carries little to no money to his name. Why would he? He has a very real chance of losing and what would he gain in exchange for losing his 154 title? Just about nothing. He'd lose quite a bit. From a business perspective it makes sense for Charlo to avoid Tszyu. I only see him taking this fight if he gets offered something worthwhile in exchange for fighting Tszyu.

On the other hand from a fan perspective he should fight Tszyu who has worked his way up and deserves a shot at the title, just as Canelo should let Benavidez have his shot at earning the 168 belt.
