Tua and Rahman TONIGHT

Yeah Rahman certainly didnt look like a former champ that night, I really hope it was a wake up call for him to get **** together before its too late.

 

I agree. He's not too old for a heavyweight and he certainly can be effective against a lot of guys when at the top of his game. He's bounced back from KO's losses before, so maybe he can do it again. I actually think that if he and Tua meet and both are in shape, Rahman wins a decision.

 

I believe there last meeting was a draw the last time they fought, I think Tua wins this time on pure power alone. Rahman has a long way to go after seeing what he did in his last fight against Sykes.

 

I see your point, but I wasn't crazy about some of Tua's recent performances. He looked good against Montana, but Montana is an old fat guy with 14 losses coming in. He's worse than Sykes. I actually thought Rahman won his second fight with Tua, and I think if he gets in shape and focused he can win a decsion. Of course, Tua's power could always make things like conditioning and focus irrelevant if he catches the Rock and we know the Rock can be caught with a big blow.

 

I could be looking too much into his past fight with Sykes too much, but he was rocked at one point by a C- fighter with like wise power. Tua whos not overall a great fighter, but he does possess A type punch which if Rahmans comes in like he did against Sykes I see an easy 1st or 2nd round knockout.

 

When will Tua fight start??

 

No doubt if Rahman comes in like he did against Sykes in a fight with Tua, the Tuaman will knock him out. To win this fight Rahman would have to be in good condition and continue to pop that jab out while moving. If not, he would be in trouble. If Oleg could knock him out of the ring, Tua could kill him.

 

Tuas' one punch ko ability will never go away, even if he doesnt come in at top shape he will always have that to sort of rely on in a sense. The one punch ko power is good when your blowing threw D and C fighters but rarely works when it comes time to fight the elite, as he discovered when he fought Lewis in 2000.

I watched the Rahman/Sykes fight, too. It was horrible. There were a few moments when Hasim looked weary, and it would have been sad but sort of fitting for him to get sparked.

He is finished for sure, and Tua probably is too. The division needs to clear out these washed up guys, just so some of the coveted TV slots open up for the good international HWs.

 

While I believe Rahmans is pretty much finished, I do feel Tua can win some fights with his awesome one punch power alone not sure if that will be enough to win against a guy like Wlad.

 

His power certainly remains formidable, but I just don't sense the purpose and determination to get to the top. Look at his fights and demeanor versus that of Oliver McCall. I think Oliver deserves to be taken more seriously than Tua, at least for now.

 

I couldnt agree more, I feel Mccall should get the winner of Maskaev/Peter wether that will happen Don King only knows. Now fighters get shots at the title if they have a name like golota who hasnt had a good tough fight since Bryd in 04, and will probably get another chance at the title after he beats Mcbride.

 

Well, here's a virtual toast to McCall getting a hard-earned shot.

 

The man certainly deserves it, yet half the people on here posting would love to see Golota get another chance at the title and get blown out as usual.
