Note: I said POSSIBLE. I don't post lies or premature **** like some idiots around here.

According to a report in PrimeraHora, Carlos Quintana (24-1, 19KOs) has accepted the offer to fight WBO welterweight champion Paul Williams (33-0, 24KOs) in the headline bout of an HBO tripleheader on February 2. The chief supporting bouts include, though not official, heavyweights Chris Arreola vs. rumored opponent David Tua and undefeated prospect Andre Ward stepping up in class, possibly against Allan Green.

It would be great news if true but I heard some **** about Tua vs. Arreola about a week ago and they said Tua declined the invitation.

If true, Tua's people have zero faith in him & he'll try to ride the journeyman express to a title/money fight like Rahman, McCall & Holyfield did.

That would be a shame since Tua still has the potential to be a force in the HW division.

    Hope Arreola-Tua comes off.
Arreola is a very live underdog that IMO, may very well win.

Yeah I saw Arreola fight in person on the Margarito/Williams undercard and Tua would knock his head off. I can't believe Tua won't ever step up the competition.

Williams has a belt, Judah doesn't. Williams is the more attractive offer, and why would he turn that down for Judah?

Tua needs to **** or get off the pot. If there was any rust that could have been removed, it's gone. He's just getting older every day. He needs to step up the competition like yesterday.

BTW, Ive said it once and all say it again, Boxing Guru, best avatar ever! Got any more of our favorite, SCAM?

HEH...thanks man. I don't have anymore, but when Scam loses in his next fight I'll post some for sure. Hopefully we get a non-******ed referee who won't let Scam hit behind the head like in the Toney and Klitschko fights. They guy needs to be DQ'd as soon as ****ing possible.

Let's hope it happens. A crossroad fight between an up and coming exciting prospect and a tested, powerful veteran with the sand running out of the hour glass.

    Tua by KO

Tua has had almost 3 months off already. This is the nail in his ever growing coffin. The guy needs to fight at LEAST once a month until he weighs 235.

I'm not sure if the nail's in the coffin just yet, but it might be close. As long as he fights within the next 2 months and weighs 235 or under, I'll be pleased. But you never know what Tua will show up.

One more fight against a D-level fighter, then he MUST step it up if he ever hopes to make some noise.

Wtf is Tua doing? I had thought that he was taking the Shannon Briggs route - beating a few stiffs on the way to a title shot - but Briggs was very active,Tua is doing nothing

Correct. You either have it or you don't, you either have confidence in yourself or you don't. It's as simple as that.

To play devil's advocate though, why should Tua fight an up & coming prospect when he gets PPV dollars by fighting nobodies?

That's part of the problem with boxing today.
