Alright, it's too late for a poll (vBulletin - and therefore ESB by extension - requires a 24 hour minimum to set an end time) but let's have some eleventh-hour General Boxing Forum feedback on this somewhat unheralded grudge match before all the Manny Steward habitués show up tomorrow morning proclaiming that it "went exactly how they expected". This is my devil's advocacy: Officially, I'm saying Tua by early stoppage but this one's really up in the air depending on a slew of variables. What do you all think?
Barrett outboxes him, and maybe even drops him again in the process. Tua is not even a shell of his former self. Barrett has more left than Tua.
I agree with IB, Tua takes this one. Not sure if its by early stoppage though , If It is Id be stoked
Depends on Barrett, if Tua does not throw an illegal punch knocking him out after the bell or connect luckily early on he's gonna get a thumping like in their last outing. David Tua is just vastly overrated, I've been saying it for years and years!
I like Tua by early KO. Barrett no longer has the "this is my last fight" mentality he did last time, and he's a bit more shopworn and less motivated. Tua catches him early this time and finishes it. :smoke
Good point. We'll see in due time, I think Monte Barrett, despite his flaws and shaky whiskers, is a much better boxer than Tua.
