friday has skills just very gunshy, even against cameron he was the same till he had him hurt....atleast it was abit of a pay for him 35g's aint much but for a outside top 15 heavyweight i think its a decent pay, i just wonder how he feel tomorrow morning not doing enough... tua looked very good i must say alot of head movement and a good tactic going to the body i think he was looking at working past friday because i think he could of pulled the trigger much easier tonight but jsut waited and got some rounds on his belt...
yeah he did. they were equally dull. tua controlled the ring and was in control for the two rounds. there was no way to score the rounds any other way. all friday would need to do was throw another 20 jabs for the rounds, they were his.
i get the feeling that tua could have gotten the ko if it was necessary but was adament to just stick to the gameplan and if it happened then so be it. there were countless times he had friday on the ropes and was only going to throw the punches he knew were going to get through and not force it. not easy to start losing focus and just go nuts with a flurry of punches.
Bob Sheridan has Tua's huge ball bag dangling from his chin 365 days a year, she spoons Tua's nuts and reads them a bed time story
Sorry BigCat. Friday countered well, just not often enough. Tua was much busier, and threw alot more combos. In the interview, Friday said he thought he won, and was looking to ko Tua. He connected solidly a few times, but nothing serious. Friday was wobbled in the 10th, and Tua let him off the hook.
Some fight thoughts... 1. Tua never let his hands go when he had Friday on the ropes.....never more than 4 to 6 punch combos 2. Friday tried to stay out of trouble and never looked to go to war with Tua. 3. Both guys looked like they wanted the 12 rounds 4. Tua could have gone another 6 or 7 rounds 5. Tua's head and body movement was outstanding....his evasion was the best in years End of the day maybe a bit let down by the fight.....never saw the killer instinct in either guy.
