Tua Retires Rather Than Face Welliver! Bring on Oliver McCall!!

Hey man, I'm all for the guy living out his dreams, and if he can land a big fight, good for him. But, it would be better if he stepped up the comp first before calling out Vitali. Today's Tua would actually be a good test for him. If Tua is retiring, why not fight, say, Monte Barrett?

by the wbc and wbo but look who your talking about. the wba gives

two world titles in the same weight division and the wbc is easily the

most corrupt of the boxing organizations. plus man its hard to be

Welliver has shrewdly collected regional titles and acquired a couple of top ten ratings, he has also exploited a developing boxing market to maximise his earning potential: these are both clever moves. I don't believe he'd beat either Klitschko but I do think he has the measure of most of the contenders out there, I would just like to see him really step up and be counted. Maybe he is being avoided by others jockeying for position and protecting their ranking - I can't know that for sure either way - but I'd like to see him in with a Thompson, an Arreola or a Chambers...

 

To be honest, I beleive there is a conspiracy to hold down White and Native American Heavyweights. Why is Joe Mesi banned from boxing when neurologists say Mesi is at no more of a risk then any other fighter?

There is no evidence at all that when you have had one extremely small hematoma the size of a pencil point, which dissolved on its own, that you are at any more risk of that type of injury to occur again.

Welliver needs to get some fights against gatekeeper types before taking on real top rated opposition. Like I said, a fight with Monte Barrett would be ideal.

 

well said man, look welliver not any good at all and his record backs that

up he's not fought anyone and the one time he did against solis he was

a disgrace. if he can be someone who has a pulse then maybe he can

be seen as a best a fringe contender

Why is it every time there is a White American HW contender they are exploited for money,' bad things happen' to them and they are introduced to heavy recreational drugs which interfere with thier career. Both Morrison and Cooney were doped up out of their minds while they were fightin.
