This is nuts. It only serves to make me even more excited for this fight, something I thought could not happen. I can't wait for this one!!
Not true. I spoke with Mr Higgins, the promoter, who said it was non-boxing related, and that the media misquoted. He said sparring is brutal, but did not say it resulted in Garcia's head injury. The media linked the two together, however.
Just read that, bummer (but good that Garcia wasn't hurt too badly). However, this will be a nice little hype piece for those who don't follow up on the truth behind this story.
Garcia won't be the only one Tua sends to the hospital after the fight. Cameron will be out cold within 3 rds courtesy of a Tua left hook.
Tua was pretty upset that Garcia was hurt. Hope he won't then hold back against Cameron. My understanding is that Garcia will spar today and possibly over the weekend. So he must be alright. Then next week is conditioning. Then Cameron.
that line was really funny when Tua said he didn't want to stare at Cameron for too long in case he gets cut.
