I actually miss pre manny wlad.....without manny he would have had a short career though! but i loved watching that Wlad, he was beast and despite his chin issues when a guy with that amount of power and ability comes at you looking to knock your head off he usually succeeds unless it's against someone with a chin like Tua's or someone who just manages to cold **** him, stun him and then finish strong. That wlad was exciting (Jeffeson KO anyone??).....todays wlad is boring as **** but far less likely get caught. He traded excitement for longevity and a long reing.....i ain't mad at him for it, anyone would do the same but still early 2000's Wlad was a killer and great to watch! Sad thing is the jokers in todays heavy divison wouldn't touch the old Wlad and if Wlad decided to revert to taking out guys early he could do it, now we get to see him jab at keep his distance for 11 rounds vs dudes he could KO in 1.

Wlad would've demolished the overrated Tua.

Tua is ridiculously overrated. He was a one trick pony fat slob who never accomplished anything.

Your hero Shavers is disgustingly overrated. He was a ****ing bum.

    Wrong on all counts.

Universum was trying to make Vitali vs Tyson in 2000 and 2001, but lacked the clout. Also, there was nothing unreasonable about Vitali developing as a prospect in 1997 and 1998, then surfacing in 1999. He certainly didn't duck anyone.

Vlad would have been too much for Tua at any point from late 1999 onward. Tua would never have gotten inside of Vlad's guard.

Even the pre-Manny Vlad was dominant. It's just that he wasn't as dominant as now. You underestimate the pre-Manny Vlad.

    Wrong on all counts.

The truth is that, in the early '00s, Tyson vs Lewis was the big blockbuster that the powerbrokers were working on. There's no way that anyone would have matched Tyson or Lewis against a Klitschko first. Nothing was going to get in the way of Tyson vs Lewis.

Also, you don't seem to be aware that Vitali retired from the Byrd because of a shoulder injury. He was winning handily until the injury prevented him from fighting.
