It might be an exciting fight. Personally, I think it will be a replay of the Rachman fight, sans the knockout...probably. Tua is way too old and way too slow to get to Wlad, which hasn't happend in years. Can he still punch, maybe. Hard to say with the competition he's fought. By the way, how did he attain this lofty ranking? He hasn't done a thing?

David Tua is good to watch, but he was dismal against Lewis! Wlad is like Lewis #2 under Steward, but still I would like to see the fight just because you never know. I don't think Haye would beat Tua without a lot of hassle, that fight would be incredible.

It would be an interesting fight because of Tua's power, but Wlad will be happy to jab him to a decision.

Tua is best known for his highlight reel KO's in youtube right now. The guy has some great KO's and speed and an durable chin and the tools. But that was footage of over 10 years ago. The man is not what he used to be. I mean too many guys ride on decade old accomplishments. Tua has done nothing since drawing Rahman in a fight he really lost. He is fat. Should be under 235. Not as fast not as explosive. Friday went the full distance with him.

Wlad is the best guy in the division right now. Great fundamentals defense strategy conditioning corner. He is a machine.

Tua is riding on a one punch chance that never happens. Sanders Purrity and Brewster did not do it in one punch. Wlad is tougher than we give credit for. I think Tua is gonna get a boxing lesson and maybe a retirement punch. In 2002 this fight may have made sense. Now not so much.

Tua actually should climb the ladder he has done so little and he is getting this

Tua against someone like Kevin Johnson is much more likely

tua landed few great big shot that threw lewis away but the problem is, that's the only thing he could do, trying to caught lewis with that big left hook and had no other weapon. There;'s a reason wht lewis refuse to go forward, tua's hook is very dangerous, if it landed in your chin, its lights off.

If tua did learn something from lewis fight and could somehow effectively get inside against super tall fighter, it would be interesting fight.

All he has to do is get inside one time. Yes - K will fight like Lennox.

But I like Tua's chances better now. He was overawed in that fight and let himself down.

I think he would find a way through this time

Ah, Steele - you clearly have not seen Tua lately

He is down in the 230's for each fight and looking very fit and agressive. Moving well.

I agree with this, he's looked in good shape and showed pretty good endurance against Friday. I also agree that if Tua lands the right punch or two (right as in correct), maybe a nice left hook, he could put Waldo down for good.

All that being said, Wlad is just as aware that he doesn't want to get tagged by Tua. He'll keep Tua away all night with the jab and will just never take a chance. It'd be like Chagaev or Ibragimov all over again, or like Chambers again, sans the actual opening up and trying for the KO in the 12th.

But yeah, I'd rather see Tua than most of these guys. He can eat jabs better than most and if he connects, it'll be exciting as hell.
