    Wow, Trainer.

Very sure of yourself and harsh to boot.

Hopefully when you reach 37 years someone won't kick you in the head that way.

Not many sheep for you here is there? :patsch:?

I think by the time I'm 37 I'll still be realistic. Fighting 2 bums doesn't give you a title shot.

That's arguable, I'd say Sanders' fast, straight left hand is about as powerful as Tua's left hook or at least the difference isn't significant.

What you still fail to acknowledge is that Wlad is not stopped by one punch, you need combinations, 2-3 power punches, and Wlad is very good now in neutralising any such effort.

KO-ing a whole host of champions and top HW's such as Moorer, Rahman, Ruiz and
Maskaev should get you respect - and another shot if you are able to get into good
fighting form. Tua has done that. The WBO want to propel that forward. Good on
them. We need more hard-hitters in the HW.

If Tua can't beat a Klit, so be it. I think one punch and they're in terrible trouble.
But at least give the man the respect he deserves.

Fair comment sheep man. But, I think that the WBO should be pushing this hard puncher to work his way up. ie. Fight a top #10 contender. Not push him into #1 after fighting 2 journeymen.

Tua would be the shortest opponent of Wlad's career. Wlad's control of range is nearly perfect these days. A 6'1 Chagaev wasn't able to land a real power punch to Wlad's head, neither was a 6'1 Chambers and both move alot better than Tua. If Chagaev or Chambers had borrowed Tua's power, they would not have beaten Wlad.

A younger Tua wasn't able to beat Chris Byrd. The same Chris Byrd who couldn't win a round in two fights with Wlad.

Sanders has stopped Wlad that is it everyone else hes beaten are b level at the very best.. Comparing his power to Tuas is ridiculous. Sanders has become a mythical contender based on one fight he got a shot coming off a KO loss to Rahman and wins over Sprott and Tisdale.

If Tua cracks Wlad with one clean bomb he will definately have him on ***** street and get off the 2 or 3 others to put him down. Noone Tua drops has survived

    :good

Your point regarding Friday is an excellent one!!

There is no way that he would have become the WBO #1 contender if he had defeated Tua and a victory over Tua is far more creditworthy then one over Ahunyana!!

    :good
Samuel Peter-vs-David Tua is a fight I would love to see!!! As would Tua-Arreola!!

Kiwi mate, David Tua has the respect of almost all boxing fans and it would be great to have him back on top form, but be honest mate, is he really the fighter he once was? I don't think so!!

And yes, he has many former champions on his resume, but mate, what he has achieved in the past should not entitle him to anything other than our respect! His past achievements do not entitle him to a title shot, do they? I mean it is not as if the guy was a champion and had to retire through injury, is it?

As you are obviously a true fan of Tua's, I can appreciate your frustration!! I mean Tua is a man who really should have been a World Champion!! He had all the attributes and as you rightly say, he has beaten many former champions, (some before they were champion and some after their reign) but the fact is that it appears as though his lack of competitive fights during what were probably his peak years are going to ensure that he never achieves his dream of being a heavyweight champion of the world!!

An on form Tua is great for the heavyweight scene and there are a whole host of fights that I and others would like to see him in, which is great for David and his bank balance!! But, until he defeats a "Genuine" contender then I say that he is (At present) undeserving of a title shot! But hey, all it takes is one win over a genuine contender and I will be happy to see Tua get another shot!!

Tuas ranking is on the back of the Cameron win, Cameron was ranked 6 at the time, and the other contenders either being beaten or inactive. Chambers, Aerreola, Valuev and Chagaev have all just had losses, Boystov hasnt fought anyone ranked to justify being raised up and Povetkin is first inline.

Even before Sanders was well known the amount of 1 and 2 round finishes he had was so impressive that he had to have a chance against almost anyone. I wrote a preview article for the Vlad fight and although I predicted a Klitschko victory I urged caution in the early rounds. However, I agree that Tua has the superior power but Sanders' handspeed, especially in his prime, was his real weapon.

Granted he had a lot of 1 and 2 round KOs and quick hands, So too did Shannon Briggs, both have never KOd a genuine contender other than Sanders beating Wlad. The problem with Sanders is he has been made out to be something he never was and that is people suggest he was a highly rated contender he met 3 World class opponents and was stopped twice and beat Wlad.

And that is based on what? No doubt Tua in his prime had massive power but let's look at the "champions" he knocked out. All of them are among of the worst HW champions there ever were. Maskaev - epic glass jaw, Rahman - epic glass jaw, Moorer - glass jaw. Those wins are not as impressive as they look like, those guys have been knocked out in almost all of their (lots of) losses. The only real eyecatcher is of course Ruiz though Ruiz was green back than and hadn't perfected his hugging spoiler style yet. I stand by my word, I rate Sanders power. Tua is a one punch fighter, he is all about the left hook and Sanders can compete with his straight left.

Nothing is mythical about Sanders. He was always a 4 round fighter but a very dangerous one.
That's what you hope for, in reality that's pretty unlikely. Like already mentioned, Wlad is very proficient nowadays at keeping his distance, neutralising the offence of his opponent, fighting tall. Tua is very short so the way he has to punch up with his short arms to reach Wlad additonally diminishes his power.

Wlad will lose only if he makes a huge mistake.

If he keeps his concentration he will win every round.

Even if Tua gets through with one punch there is no guarantee Wlad will be KOED.

If Tua does manage the upset Wlad will be likely to win the rematch.

I can't get excited about this.
