Sorry, to start another one of these threads.

    What's the latest ...

Toney, Tua and various others in the HW division are just watching and waiting. I got to give John Ruiz some credit for being active and always looking for fights with top 20 HW's.

Wasn't Toney - Williams meant to be a possibility ?
The Tua saga seems to be endless tho.

I think Tua is on an endless comeback trail. he's basically happy fighting lower level guys for some easy cheques and passing it off as a road back to the top. Good luck to him.

Toney is suffering from Holyfield-like delusion and thinks hes going to unify.

If Tua doesn't knock him out Toney might win a MD or sd like Byrd. Really tough fight to call.

I've said it before & I'll say it again:

These old retread fighters need to fight each other to eliminate the pretenders.

Briggs, McCall, Tua, Toney, Ruiz, Moorer, Mesi, Golota, Rahman, etc.

Instead they keep fighting journeymen instead of real contenders.

McCline and Mollo were top contenders.

The up & coming fighters feast on journeymen also. If they eliminate each other we've got less names to watch. I'd rather see these young guys getting tons of hype on the board against the old guard. Post-prime vs. Pre-prime makes for a good fight.

It's better than the typical Prime fighter vs. washed up names...

Tua-Peter would be awesome. Peter isn't very tall. Tua would have to protect the back of his head.
