Anybody know Tua's training methods in the past, or what he is doing to get ready for his upcoming fight with Shane Cameron?
what like the preparations for the ruiz? moorer? or ibeabuchi fights? fair enough he didnt beat lewis but not many fighters did!
True on all accounts. Btw, who the hell came up with that "brilliant" game plan for Tua when he fought Lewis? All wrong.atsch
I've only heard about his training for the Dawkins fight in 2001 Gentle meander to KFC, 10 piece feed (5 original + 5 H&S), stop off at 7/11 for 5 litres of Lemon and Paeroa, 1 500 g tub of Honey Malt ball Haagen Daaz. Bro - too full to train, can't seem to get going. See you tomorrow. Ibeabuchi was never the same after a taste of the left hooks of the Samoan Warrior. If that guys distant cousin turns up, the Mountain Warrior is out in 4.
I still can't find this damn book though. So it has Tua's training regime huh? I will have to double my efforts to find this book.
Well it takes more than a left hook and a bad haircut to beat Lennox Lewis. It covers the turmoil the camp was into before the fight. AND how badly he had gotten out of shape
Tua's currently training himself. Before the fight's postponement he was seen doing an awful lot of road work around Auckland with various training partners. But since then I believe he has dialled it back a little. He should start working with a conditioning coach (Lee Parore?) in a couple of weeks. And he's stated a couple of times he's going to have "world class sparring" coming over as well.
I'm hearing that Hiriwa Te Rangi will be rushing back from his July 4 bout in Melbourne to give David some quality ring time.
