If this is true which it looks like it is then Tua really might as well retire as well.

For a guy like Tua who claims to want a shot at a Klitschko to be fighting yet ANOTHER meaningless fight is rediculous.

He may feel he has unfinished business shoulder injury or not but if he isn't going to seek fights with the top guys in the division by now such as Solis, Haye, Adamek, Chambers, etc then he might as well just **** off

frustrating as **** David Tua is

Has Monte actually agreed to this?

He seemed dead set on retirement.

Rematch is a good idea seeing that their last fight was a draw.

Am i right in thinking as well that Tua has 1 more fight until he gets out of contract with his current promoters?

Tua isn't getting any younger a re-match is a **** idea he might as well draw a line under the fight, use his shoulder as an excuse and move onwards and upwards.

At 37 Tua really has one last crack of the whip if its not already too late and time is running out fast he needs a big fight....NOW

they should do a best out of ten on the " old guy tour " let them open for Tyson and Holdifield on there world tour.

just kidding if it weren't for the old boxers there would only be young boxers.

just kidding I look forward to the them fighting.

ok look a torn rotator cuff is a valid escuse

vitali klitschko was killing chris chambers on score cards before he stoped fighting because of the shoulder.

tua was killing this man untill his shoulder started giving him problems.

tua is still a great fighter **** this draw with monte barrett.

I'm not saying it's not a valid excuse i'm saying USE it as an excuse and move on!

If the guy is serious in the heavyweight division he needs to step up the opposition RIGHT NOW

Look at Shannon Briggs he has his title shot again and will probably retire when he loses. Tua needs to do the same before he is bang over the hill and TOTALLY irrelevant

Part of me wants to see Monte get the win he should have got last time before he retires. At the same time I had hoped he would walk away from boxing with his faculties intact, he seems a nice guy. Tua still has the power to be a solid contender but he's nowhere near at title shot, Wlad would beat him easily as would Vitali if he can still take a shot. He'd have a shot at Haye but there is no way Haye will ever take that fight. So I'm not sure how Tua will approach a fight like this, he has shown a lack of motivation in the past and he looked fat last time out. Of course Tua has the power to end this fight at any time but Barrett lasted 12 rounds of his power before.
