Arreola is made to order for a prime David Tua, but right now I'm thinking Chris might be able to outwork the old man on his way to a UD victory. The outcome of this fight really all depends on what Tua has left. Either way it's going to be a fun fight to watch for however long it lasts. :nod
I think Arreola has picked the wrong guy to step up against. Tua has the perfect style to beat Arreola. Tua has a chin like granite. I have never seen the guy hurt in years of facing the best guys in the division. Arreola is also not a boxer, he is going to come straight at Tua and try and trade. The difference will be Tua's chin and Tua's power. All David needs is one flush left hook to send Arreola night night.
While Tua and Arreola display a similar approach to fighting there's a notable difference in style. Arreola is a straight forward slugger while Tua is a well schooled swarmer with excellent punching technique and a decent defense. Tua holds an edge in punching power and overall boxing ability. I think it's pretty obvious that when two guys are doing the same thing in the ring the one that's better at it must win the fight. However Tua is well past his best. Another important factor is that Arreola has a lot more marketing potential and that means should the fight go the distance Tua's chances to get the decision are slim.
I actually like tua in this one because we know Tua's chin is iron but we dont know about Arreola's....so as of now im giving tua the edge because both have power and Tua when in shape has good stamina.........Also i HATE WHEN THEY PUT 2 GOOD FIGHTS ON AT THE SAME NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tua,Arreola..Pavlik,Hopkins
Arreolas management should be horsewhipped for matching him up with Tua. Tua is best against guys that are going to trade with him, and he has the shorter and much more accurate punches than the wild Arreola. Tua isn't going to be knocked out and when he lands his big left hook, chances are your cooked. Why in the world would you match up a young prospect that's a slugger who hasn't been seriously tested with an old veteran slugger who has an ATG chin and power :huh Tua is going to take his head off, probably the worst matchup possible for Arreola.
Arreola is an average prospect who is being talked about cos the other prospects are that bad. Tua is a past it contender who never really wanted to fufil his potential but his left hook always gives us glimpses. If Arreola wins, he still won't rule the division and if Tua wins, he won't realise his true potential. However, with this **** division, both could be champs. That's how bad some titlists are.
This will be a great matchup! I want to see if Chris can handle banging with Tua! If he can make a statement by KO Tua he can look to bigger matchups with the named HW.
I've got a sneaky feeling Tua will beat Arreola. The inactivity for Tua and lack of ANY notable foe of late is a worry, but if he knuckels down he could win this.
Cool, I got Nipples ud or late round Ko making him quit on his stool Juan Diaz style. I think he stays away from his left hook and does his damage.
Tua will catch up to Arreola and KO him in the early-mid rounds. It's a WBC eliminator I believe so you can't really blame Arreola for taking this fight if that's on the line.
