These guys never fought, but it would have been great to see them go at it. Who would have won? I think a prime Mercer might have edged it out. He had a tough chin in his prime, and had better boxing skills.

Punch v Chin here, and usually chin wins out. I also pick Mercer. Tua has a real chance here though, and I think he'd pound on Mercer quite fiercely until Mercer gets his act together and turns things around.

Not only does he have the better chin, but also one of the most under rated jab's in boxing
(It was basicaly a Straight Right hand in jab form "Piston Jab")

Tua in 3 against the easy to hit Mercer. Morrisson was kickin his ass until he got hung up in the ropes and he doesn't have near the speed nor power of Tua.

Frankly, I'm surprised that most people here are picking Mercer. Although I have all the respect in the world for Merciless, I think Tua was slightly more proven in just about every aspect. Both men had two of the greatest chins in history along with comparable power, but I think Tua is a small notch above.

I go with The terminator by a marginal decision. I don't see either man scoring a stoppage and Mercer was simply not busy enough to win on the cards here.

If Mercer sticks to his damn-good jab (which he seemed to ignore earlier in his career), then he might be able to out-point Tua. But Tua will probably make it a fight in close quarters where his better stamina probably ensures a win.

No way could Mercer stop Tua. I like Mercer to win on points though.

It's good to see that some people remember that Mercer was actually a good fighter.

I would like Mercer by close decision in an excellent action packed fight if both were in their primes.

    Tua UD's him comfortably.

Iron chin/big punch vs. Iron chin/big punch/great stamina. Mercer's efficiency with his jab is all that keeps him from getting blown out wide on the scorecards, but in all likelihood he tries to brawl it out and gets outhustled.

I don't even like Tua, but this is a bad, bad styles matchup for Mercer.

When was Tua's chin truly tested like Mercer's has been?
