Look at Tony Tubbs.and Mathis, both tried to fight Tyson up close on the inside, as soon as Tyson fired those uppercuts, they were doing chicken dances

Yep, and Tua's defense wasn't his strong point either. Tyson only ever was discouraged when he couldn't land on his opponent. Tua will throw fuel on Tyson's fire. Tua is badly outgunned here.

Yeah both Mathis and Tubbs were known for their lethal power on the inside....

Tyson would be in big trouble as soon as Tua lands one monsterous left hook, Tyson couldn't handle the power. If feather fisted Douglas can knock him out Tua hospitalises him!

Ribalta also came to fight and very quickly realised what he was up against and start running.

If you watch Tuas fights carefully, he doesn't like being hit, as soon as hes hit, he closes up shop and does the silent treatment where he plods along and gis opponents are all too happy to make it through unscathed.

    a mutual agreement

In a fight like this Tua lack of combination and body punching will be exposed big time

its one of those fights, where at the end of t fight, so called boxing experts would be kicking themselves for picking the guy with the big punch over the superior fighter.

People think this would be some sort of slugging match, it wont be if were talking peak Tyson, Rooney would establish a gameplan to avoid Tuas left hook and to chop him down bit by bit.

Tua would seriously be found out (as he was in real life whenever he stepped up)

Tua was out boxed by hashim rahman during his peak in 98. That explains a lot

and Rahman vs 02 Tyson would be a 50/50 fight.

If the two men swapped careers, excluding the Lewis bouts, which will cause a 20 page debate, Tyson would run through Tuas opposition like a knife through butter, whereas Tua would probably have twice the amount of losses.

Yes, the "mutual agreement", a thing where Tyson seems to get negative marks because he's not the aggressor for 3 minutes of every round. Invented by Teddy Atlas, no less. Where Tyson might use that as a means for a breather, Tua does it after being baffled and not knowing how to proceed in a fight. Limited, David Tua is.

Against Tyson his power won't bail him out like it did against Maskaev, Izon and Rahman after the bell. Like I stated before, Tyson gets discouraged when he's unable to land his shots, not from being hit. Tua is wide open and will continually get tagged against a superior boxer.

Tua and his handful of fans and supporters haven't got a leg to stand on.

Tua would be one of Tysons easiest fights.

Literally a punchbag he can unload on. If Tyson was able to hunt down and ko larger more skilled fighters. I dont understand how people think he will struggle with the limited one dimensional, no defence David Tua.

Tua has a good chin, well chins can be cracked.

Holmes, Spinks, Thomas, Tubbs, Ruddock had never been stopped until Tyson got hold of them.

Tua was perfect for Tyson because he didn't move, didn't grab, would fight, wasn't the most elusive guy ever, and not anywhere near Tyson's league in speed. Tua was very tough and heavy handed, but that wouldn't be enough to defeat an explosive Tyson. As good as Tua's chin was in the pros, he would get hit so hard and clean and fast with dynamite explosive blows that I don't see him lasting. Now this is the pre-prison Tyson we are talking about. Post-prison, there is the possibility of Tua weathering the storm and coming on as the fight progresses.

i agree, Tyson would dropping bombs on Tuas chin and body straight from round one. Nobody just weathered the storm against Tyson, the guys who beat him outboxed him from the start with taking too much punishment.

Tua was there to be hit

I'm sure fragile chinned Ruddock survived the early storm twice, I may be wrong though......
