Don't see why Tua has to get in line when nobody else does.

Guys like Briggs and Rahman both earned title shots after fighting complete and utter tomato cans, based on their name. \

ON that theory, Tua just has to KO another couple of no-names, and he's right up there.

I mean honestly, what has Holy done to justify his last couple of title shots?

I want to see Tua in with some legit "top 10" guys too, however Cameron was ranked number 6 in the WBO which just happens to be one of your boy Wlads titles. This is what i said in another post

It wont be long till he gets a shot at Wlad. The "clubfighter" he just destroyed was ranked number 6 by WBO Chambers at number 1 will drop after he fights Wlad, Haye at 3 will drop out after he picks up the WBC belt, Arreola has just been beaten by big brother. So that leaves the less proven Boystov and Povetkin ahead of him, Tuas win over Cameron is better than anything Boystov has done, His sparring partner was a Boystov opponent one fight back.

I think Tuas name will get him a shot if he looks reasonable next time out. Wlads whiskers and a lack of genuine opponents will make it very marketable, David is not a King fighter which is even more appealing to K2, although to be honest I suspect Vitali might take this fight before Tua becomes a mandatory for Wlad

go watch that late kd and then dare to say it was before the bell sounded.

Tua was caught off balance and didnt expect the shot to come.

never down in a fight:deal. Thats true:deal. face the facts :deal

it seems to me that it is best for Tua that he fights his way up to the top.He gains match fitness and thats what you need when you are taking on any champion, let alone one whose last name is Klit.

After he has climbed the mountain, then and only then is it time to unleash the beast within.

Agreed, I do suspect however Kushner can and will manoeuvre him into position for a shot at a title mid-late next year. One or two more fights. Not ideal in my opinion

The problem will be getting opponents for David in the meantime.

Rahman,Mercer,Ruiz.Arreola,Meehan???? heck some of these guys seem keen to take a fight at the drop of a hat.....I saw Ruiz calling out anyone just a month or two ago? Getting the fight signed and the bucks that will be asked for may be the biggest problem Tua may face i do have to agree.

Lets see just how shot and useless Tua is eh Kinski:hi:.....we will see who puts there hand up to fight him next huh? there must be a mile long queue to fight the wshed up ole bum from what ive seen mentioned in your posts about him:hey

Doesn't have to, but it's the best thing for him really.
You gotta admit that as good as Tua looked against Cameron, it's a very poor indicator for how he'd fare with Wlad.
Besides, he needs 3 fights to clear the MaoriTV contract so he can get some extra $ for NZ PPV :)

Wasn't aware of the Maori TV contract - ****, he could fight 3 in 3 months just to get into shape.

    What about

    Hoppa
    Colin Wilson
    Sonny Bill Williams ;)

    Just to get things going.

The best thing for Tua you're right is a longish increase to the top, like Duva did early on in his career.

However, I feel Tua is chasing money - he deserves it though after Barry and Pugh.

Actually, how about Kevin Barry Jr vs David Tua? I reckon that would sell...... (i think more than one punch when the opponent is on the canvas might happen that night....)

lmfao..u tua fans are on a good 1 right now..lol..wlad has mandatories and tua isn't worth giving up his belts for at all....also what in the **** has tua done to earn a spot opposite either klitchko bro?

Tua put on a good performance against a b- c+ opponent...doesnt mean he is the next great hw champion..that dream ended in the late 90's...

Mmm One of Rahman and Mercer will be gone after their fight next month, Meehan hasnt fought anyone of note since Rahman in 04 unless Williamson in 07 is noteworthy. No way King lets Ruiz in the ring with Tua unless he gets options on David. So maybe Arreola but I suspect Tua is too dangerous an opponent for someone who will be trying to rebuild his ranking and confidence after the VK fight.

:rofl nah not Kevin Barry Jnr - put Snr. in there with him! :rofl
Yeah the MaroiTV contract was put in place so to free Tua up for PPV on the FOTC - he had 1 fight outstanding on the contract he had at the time and it probably seemed like a good idea at the time.
I hear he's planning a fight in December, and will be fighting pretty quickly again after that - Hoppa and Col probably wouldn't be out of the question in terms of opponents but at least we'll be seeing Tua in action on a regular and quickfire succession. they mioght try to make something of the 3rd fight to get a little momentum going again I guess...

Sorry, stormy but 1 fight does not mean he's back! Let him beat a ranked fighter 1st b4 everybody cream in their jeans. This fight didn't really prove much. He did what he was supposed to do.

Ummmmm..... It proves he's not faded beyond belief as some were predicting before the fight....
I agree though - let him work his way up. He'll get rid of theMaoriTV contract then Arreola or Peter is in trouble!
